Setting
- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) put me in charge of slaughtering his camels (which he wanted to sacrifice); and to give in charity their meat, skins, and saddle cloths; and not to give any of them to the butcher
- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) once sent sheep as Hady
- I wove the collars for the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) then I marked them and he - or I - put the collars on their necks, and he sent them to the Ka‘bah and stayed at Madīnah, and he was not forbidden from anything which was lawful for him (before sending them)
- The Prophet of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man carrying a sacrificial camel, so he said: Ride it. The man said: It is a sacrificial camel. He said: Ride it
- If I had formerly known what I came to know lately, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal with me. Had there been no sacrificial animal with me, I would have ended my state of lhrām
- In the year of Al-Hudaybiyah, we slaughtered with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) a camel on behalf of seven persons and a cow on behalf of seven persons
