There are three to whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Judgment, nor will He purify them, and they will incur a painful punishment
Salmān al-Fārisi (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three to whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Judgment, nor will He purify them, and they will incur a painful punishment: an aged person who commits adultery, a poor person who is arrogant, and a man whom Allah has given a commodity, yet he does not sell except by swearing an oath, nor buy except by swearing an oath."

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed us about three types of people who will deserve the punishment of Allah on the Day of Judgment with three punishments, unless they repent or are forgiven: The first: Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Judgment due to His intense anger; rather, He will turn away from them, or He may speak to them in a way that does not please them, indicating His wrath upon them. The second: He will not purify, praise, or cleanse them from sins. The third: They will receive a severe and painful punishment in the Hereafter. These types of people are: The first: An old man who commits the immoral act of adultery. The second: A poor man who has no wealth, yet despite that, he treats people with arrogance. The third: One who frequently swears by Allah when buying and selling, thereby dishonoring the name of Allah and using it as a means to gain wealth.Benefits
Al-Qādi ‘Iyād said regarding the reason for this severe punishment: Each of these individuals committed the mentioned sin despite being far removed from it, having no real necessity or strong urge leading to it. Though no one is excused for committing sin, their indulgence in these acts, despite the lack of pressing need or common habit, makes their behavior resemble defiance, disregard for Allah's rights, and deliberate disobedience without any compelling reason.
Adultery, lying, and arrogance are among the major sins.
Arrogance: rejection of the truth and despising people.
Warning against the frequent use of oaths in buying and selling, and encouragement to revere and respect the names of Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty says: {Do not use Allah’s name in your oaths.} [Surat al-Baqarah: 224]
