A caller will call out: You will be healthy and never fall ill; you will live and never die; you will be young and never grow old; you will live in comfort and never suffer

Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A caller will call out: You will be healthy and never fall ill; you will live and never die; you will be young and never grow old; you will live in comfort and never suffer." This is His saying: {They will be called, “This is Paradise that you are made to inherit for what you used to do.”} [Surat al-A‘rāf: 43]

[Authentic hadith] [Narrated by Muslim]

Explanation

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned that a caller would call the dwellers of Paradise while they are in it, leading a life of ease and comfort: You will be healthy and will never get sick in Paradise, not even a minor sickness; you will live and never die therein, even if it is sleep that is minor death; you will be young and never grow old therein; and you will enjoy a life of comfort and never be sad or miserable therein. This is the meaning of the verse in which Allah Almighty says: {They will be called, “This is Paradise that you are made to inherit for what you used to do.”} [Surat al-A‘rāf: 43]

Benefits

Four things could seriously spoil one's worldly bliss, regardless of how luxurious his life is. These are: illness, death, old age, misery and sadness resulting from fear of the enemy, poverty, war, etc. The dwellers of Paradise are safe from such things; hence, they live in perfect bliss.

The bliss of Paradise is different from that of the worldly life because there is no fear in the bliss of Paradise, whereas the bliss of the worldly life never lasts and is interrupted by pains and diseases.

Encouraging righteous deeds that serve as a means of reaching the bliss of Paradise.
