Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) informs that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was more shy than a virgin girl who has not married and deals with men while she is veiled in her house. His shyness was so intense that if he disliked something, his face would change and he would not speak. Rather, his Companions would recognize his dislike of it through his face.Benefits
The Hadīth demonstrates the Prophet's modesty and shyness, a noble moral trait.
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would be shy as long as the prohibitions of Allah were not violated. If they were violated, he (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would become angry and issue commands and prohibitions to his Companions.
We are encouraged to adopt modesty, as it prompts a person to do what is good and avoid what is bad.
