1- Glory be to Allah, this comes from the devil. Let her sit in a washtub, and if she sees yellowness on top of the water, she has to take a bath once for the Zhuhr and ‘Asr prayers and another bath for the Maghrib and ‘Ishā' prayers and a third bath for the Fajr prayer, and she may perform ablution in between that (if she needs to)

2- I have been granted victory by means of awe (cast in the hearts of the enemies), I have been given the keys of the earth, I have been named Ahmad, the earth was made for me a means of purification, and my nation has been made the best of nations

3- We have been preferred over others by three (privileges): Our rows are like the rows of the angels, the whole earth is for us a place to pray and its dust is for us a means to purify ourselves with if we do not find water

4- I used to take a bath with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) from Janābah using a single water container in which we dipped our hands alternately

5- It is sufficient for you to pour three handfuls of water on your head then pour water all over yourself, and you will be purified

6- I poured water for the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) to take a ritual bath

7- When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) took a ritual bath to remove Janābah, he would start by washing his hands. Then he would pour water with his right hand over his left hand to wash his private parts. Then he would make ablution like that he would make for his prayer

8- Man's discharge (i. e. semen) is thick and white, and the discharge (vaginal fluid) of a woman is thin and yellow, and the resemblance (of the child) comes from the one that dominates or precedes

9- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade making Istinjā’ with dung or bones, and said: They do not purify

10- When the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) came out of the privy, he would say: 'Ghufrānak' (Your forgiveness)

11- He prohibited us from facing the Qiblah when defecating or urinating and from using the right hand, using less than three stones, and using dung and bones in Istinjā’

12- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) set a limit of three days with their nights for the traveler, and one day and night for the one who is not traveling

13- Bring me stones so that I may cleanse (my private parts) therewith, but do not bring any bones or animal dung

14- If any of you treads with his shoes on something unclean, they will be purified with the earth

15- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) granted the traveler a concession to wipe over his leather socks with a wet hand for three days and nights

16- I went to ‘Ā’ishah and asked her to describe to me the Messenger's illness. ‘Ā’ishah said: Yes. The Prophet became seriously ill and asked whether the people had prayed. We replied: No, O Messenger of Allah! They are waiting for you

17- Some people of the Quraysh passed by the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) dragging one of their sheep like a donkey (in its size or for its disposal). The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: "Would that you took its skin." They said: "It died a natural death." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Water and Qarazh (leaves of the mimosa) purify it."

18- That when the cup of the Prophet cracked, he mended the crack with a silver chain

19- Verily, the two eyes (when awake) are the string that ties up the anus, but when the two eyes sleep, the string is untied

20- Do you not fear Allah regarding this animal which Allah has placed in your possession? It is complaining to me that you starve it and put it to toil

21- They should not do so. The Prophet's wives would refrain (from prayer) for forty days during postpartum bleeding, and the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would not command them to complete the prayers abandoned during that period

22- They killed him, may Allah kill them! Why had they not asked when they did not know? The cure for ignorance is inquiry. It would have been enough for him to perform Tayammum and to press – or bind – a cloth over his wound then wipe with wet hands over it and wash the rest of his body

23- You have followed the Sunnah and your (first) prayer was enough for you

24- Clean earth is ablution for the Muslim, even up to ten years. Then when if you find water, wash your skin with it, for that is better

25- O Messenger of Allah, if a man parts from his wife suddenly (during sexual intercourse) without discharging semen, what will he be required to do? The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is water (seminal discharge) that makes water (ritual bath) obligatory

26- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would approach all of his wives and then take one ritual bath

27- Whoever performs ablution like this, his previous sins will be forgiven

28- When a Muslim—or a believer—performs ablution, and he washes his face, every sin he has looked at with his eyes comes out of his face with the water or with the last drop of water
