1- It was revealed in the Qur'an that: ten times of breastfeeding known with certainty establish prohibition (Mahram relationship through breastfeeding); then that was abrogated and replaced with five times of breastfeeding known with certainty. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) died while these (words of the abrogating verse) were still being recited as part of the Qur'an

2- No prohibition results from suckling, except for what penetrates the intestines from the breast before weaning

3- The hand which gives is the higher hand. Start with those for whom you are responsible: your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, then the closest in kin and the closest in kin

4- One will be committing a great sin if he withholds sustenance from those whom he should provide for

5- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the effeminate men and the masculine women. He said: Turn them out of your houses

6- Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from (going to) the mosques of Allah, but let them go out without perfume and unadorned

7- Verily, Allah is pleased with three things for you and is displeased with three things for you

8- Shall I not tell you of something better in degree than fasting, prayer, and charity?

9- Keep some of your wealth, for this is better for you

10- The narration about Barīrah and her husband

11- ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) divorced his wife while she was menstruating. So, ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) informed the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) about that, and he became furious at him

12- "My wife has given birth to a black boy." The Prophet asked him: "Do you have camels?" He replied: 'Yes.' The Prophet asked: "What color are they?" He replied: 'Red.' The Prophet asked: "Is any of them gray?" He replied: 'Yes.' The Prophet asked: "From where did that grayness come?" He said: "It might have inherited it from its ancestors." The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perhaps this son of yours (also) inherited it (this color) from his ancestors."

13- How can you (keep your wife) when she (the slave-woman) has claimed that she suckled both of you?

14- Have you not known that Mujazziz has recently looked at Zayd ibn Hārithah and Usāmah ibn Zayd and said: Indeed, these feet are related to one another?

15- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited the fixed term marriage on the Day of Khaybar and eating the flesh of domestic donkeys

16- No financial maintenance is due to you upon him

17- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) emancipated Safiyyah and made her emancipation her dowry

18- During the Prophet's lifetime, a man accused his wife of adultery and disclaimed her child. So the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them both to swear the oath of condemnation against each other, as Allah, the Almighty, instructed, and they did. Then he decided that the child should be with the woman and separated them

19- You have no right over her. The man said: O Messenger of Allah, what about my money? The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: You have no right to get back your money. If you have told the truth about her, then your money was in return for the sexual intercourse you lawfully had with her; and if you have told a lie about her, then you are less rightful to get your money back

20- When a woman’s husband died, she would go into a small hut, wear her worst clothes and would not touch any kind of perfume until a whole year would pass. Then an animal – a donkey, bird, or sheep – would be brought to her and she would rub her skin with it

21- Hadīth of Subay‘ah al-Aslamiyyah regarding ‘Iddah

22- Even if she was not my stepdaughter whom I raised, she would still be unlawful for me because she is my niece through suckling. Thuwaybah breastfed me and Abu Salāmah (her father). So, do not offer me your daughters or sisters

23- Do you want to go back to Rifā‘ah? Not until you taste his sweetness and he tastes your sweetness (have sexual intercourse)

24- The child is for the owner of the bed, and the stone is for the one who commits illegal sexual intercourse

25- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the use of saffron by men

26- One of the sons of Abu Talha was ailing. Abu Talha went out and the boy died in his absence

27- Her prescribed waiting period after divorce is over. Propose to her anew

28- By the One in Whose hand my soul is, whenever the devil sees you walking on a path, he follows a path other than yours

29- Yūsuf ibn ‘Abdullāh ibn Salām (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) named me Yūsuf and seated me on his lap

30- If a slave marries without his master’s permission, he is a fornicator

31- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) married Maymūnah when he was in the state of Ihrām and consummated marriage with her when he ended his Ihrām. She died in Sarif

32- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) allowed temporary marriage for three nights in the year of the battle of Awtās, then he forbade it

33- O Banu Bayādah, marry off (your daughters) to Abu Hind, and ask him to marry off (his daughters) to you

34- Divorce whomever of them you wish

35- Ghaylān ibn Salamah Ath-Thaqafi embraced Islam and he had ten wives from the pre-Islamic period of ignorance, and they all embraced Islam with him. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) commanded him to choose four of them

36- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) returned his daughter Zaynab to Abu al-‘Ās ibn Ar-Rabī‘ in marriage after six years without renewing the contract

37- I asked ‘Ā'ishah: How much was the dowry paid by the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)? She said: His dowry for his wives was twelve Uqiyyahs and one Nashsh

38- ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I married Fātimah (may Allah be pleased with her) so I said: O Messenger of Allah, let me consummate the marriage. He said: Give her something. I said: I have nothing. He said: So where is your Hutami armor?

39- ‘Abdullāh ibn Mas‘ūd was asked about a man who had married a woman without specifying a dowry for her and then died before consummating the marriage with her. ‘Abdullāh said: Ask if they can find any report (from the Prophet) regarding that. They said: O Abu ‘Abdur-Rahmān, we cannot find (any report about that). He said: Then I will state my personal opinion, and if it is correct then that is from Allah

40- The easiest marriage is the best marriage

41- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) stayed for three nights between Khaybar and Madīnah when he married Safiyyah

42- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) did not give preference to one of us over the other in terms of his division of the time he spent with us. Every day, except rarely, he used to visit all of us. He would come near each of his wives without having sexual intercourse with her, until he would reach the one whose turn was on that day and he would, thus, stay with her overnight

43- Accept (to take back) the garden, and divorce her once

44- The (pronouncement) of three divorces during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and that of Abu Bakr and two years of the caliphate of ‘Umar (was treated) as one

45- ‘Abd Yazīd — the father of Rukānah and his siblings — divorced Umm Rukānah and married a woman from Muzaynah. So the new wife came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: He does not satisfy me except like this hair does

46- Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If [a man] forbids his wife, this is nothing. He further quoted: {There is in the Messenger of Allah a good example to you} [Sūrat al-Ahzāb: 21]

47- You divorced (in a manner that is) against the Sunnah and took back (in a manner that is) against the Sunnah. Call someone to bear witness to her divorce and to her reunion, and do not do that again

48- If a period of four months has passed, the husband should be put in prison so that he divorces his wife, but the divorce does not occur unless the husband himself declares it

49- I have seen more than ten of the Companions of the Messengers of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him); they all stopped the 'Mūli' (the one who swore not to approach his wife intimately)

50- The people of the pre-Islamic era of ignorance would practice Īlā' (take an oath not to have sexual intercourse with their wives) for a duration of one or two years. Then Allah timed the effective duration of this oath

51- A man went to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) as he made Zhihār against his wife yet had intercourse with her

52- The Hadīth of Salamah ibn Sakhr (may Allah be pleased with him) on Zhihār

53- Watch her, if she gives birth to a white-complexioned child having straight hair and sore eyes, he is the son of Hilāl ibn Umayyah, but if she gives birth to a child with eyes that appear to have antimony in them, curly hair, and thin shanks, then he is the son of Sharīk ibn Sahmā'

54- ‘Uwaymir al-‘Ajlāni went to ‘Āsim ibn ‘Adyy al-Ansāri and asked: O ‘Āsim, tell me, if a man sees his wife (sleeping) with another man, should he kill him, whereupon you will kill him (in retribution), or what should he do? O ‘Āsim, ask the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) about that

55- A man came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: My wife does not object if anyone touches her. He said: Divorce her. The man said: I am afraid that I will miss her. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then enjoy her

56- If a man acknowledges his paternity of a child (even) for a moment, he has no right to deny it (later)

57- No, go and collect the harvest from your trees, for perhaps you will give (some of it in) charity or do a good deed with it

58- Stay in your house until the term (of ‘Iddah) lapses. She said: So I spent my ‘Iddah therein (in her husband's house) for four months and ten days

59- O Messenger of Allah, my husband has divorced me three times and I am afraid that my house will be broken into

60- Do not confuse the Sunnah of our Prophet. The ‘Iddah of a mother-slave girl whose master dies is four months and ten (days)

61- ‘Urwah ibn Az-Zubayr reported from ‘Ā’ishah that she took Hafsah bint ‘Abdur-Rahmān ibn Abu Bakr As-Siddīq into her house when she was in her third period

62- A slave has two counts of divorce to discharge toward his free wife, who shall observe a waiting period of three menstrual cycles. A free man has two counts of divorce to discharge toward his slave wife, who shall observe a waiting period of two menstrual cycles

63- A woman whose husband is missing and whose whereabouts is unknown to her must wait for four years and then observe the ‘Iddah (of a widow) for four months and ten days. After that, she is allowed to marry

64- There should be no sexual intercourse with a pregnant woman until she gives birth, nor with a non-pregnant woman until she has one menstrual cycle

65- Suckle him, and you will become unlawful for him (in marriage), and (the discomfort) which Abu Hudhayfah feels in his heart will disappear

66- Ibn ‘Umar reported that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb wrote to the army commanders about men who stayed for a long time away from their wives. He ordered the [commanders] to charge them to either spend (on their wives) or divorce. If they divorce, they should send the financial support they had withheld

67- You are more entitled to him as long as you do not get married

68- This is your father, and this your mother, so take whichever of them you wish by the hand

69- Hadīth of Rāfi‘ ibn Sinān about giving a child the option to choose between parents who separated upon conversion to Islam

70- I went to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) with my father. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) then asked my father: Is this your son? He replied: Yes, by the Lord of the Ka‘bah

71- Hilāl ibn Umayyah went to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and accused his wife of committing illegal sexual intercourse with Sharīk ibn Sahmā'. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: Either you provide proof, or you will receive the legal punishment on your back

72- We received a letter from ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb one year before his death. He said: Cancel every marriage between unmarriageable relatives from among the Magians

73- It is a Sunnah for a man who marries a virgin when he already has a wife (who is no longer a virgin) that he stay seven nights with the new wife and then divide his overnight stay between both. If he marries a previously-married woman when he already has a wife (either a virgin or not), the Sunnah is for him to stay with her (the new wife) three nights and then divide his overnight stay between both

74- A dinar you spent in the cause of Allah, a dinar you spent on a slave, a dinar you gave in charity to a needy person, and a dinar you spent on your family; the greatest in reward is the one you spent on your family

75- Then do not make me a witness, for I do not bear witness to injustice

76- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the man who wears women's clothes and the woman who wears men's clothes

77- What is below the ankles of the lower garment is in Hellfire
