1- I will lead you in prayer; although I do not intend to pray, it is just to show you how I witnessed the Messenger of Allah pray

2- It would have been better if you had recited Sūrat al-A‘la, Sūrat Ash-Shams, or Sūrat al-Layl, for the old, the weak, and the needy pray behind you

3- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) announced the death of the Negus on the day he had died. He took the people to the prayer place, lined them up, and made four Takbīrs

4- We used to perform the Friday prayer with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and leave at a time when the walls had no shadow that we could take as shelter

5- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver two sermons while standing, and he would separate them by sitting

6- The Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prayed on the Day of An-Nahr, then delivered a sermon, then slaughtered (an animal) and said: Whoever slaughtered before praying should slaughter another animal instead, and whoever has not yet slaughtered should slaughter while mentioning Allah's name

7- Whoever sleeps and fails to recite his nightly portion, or part of it, and then recites it between the Fajr prayer and the Zhuhr prayer, it will be recorded for him as if he recited it during the night

8- What an excellent dip vinegar is! What an excellent dip vinegar is

9- The believer who mixes with people and patiently bears their annoyance is better than the believer who does not mix with people or patiently bear their annoyance

10- The Ash‘aris, if they ran short of provisions while on a military expedition, or if their children did not have enough food in Madīnah

11- A woman from the tribe of Juhaynah came to the Prophet while she was pregnant from adultery

12- In the name of Allah I recite over you, (to cleanse you) from everything that troubles you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye, Allah will cure you, in the name of Allah I recite over you

13- As for this man, he has disobeyed the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)

14- I see that you like sheep and wilderness. So whenever you are with your sheep - or in the wilderness - and you want to call the Adhān, raise your voice

15- I gave the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) a zebra as a gift

16- When one of you feels drowsy during prayer, let him lie down till drowsiness goes away from him

17- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) employed a man from the tribe of Azd, named Ibn al-Lutbiyyah, as a collector of Zakah. When he returned, he said: This is for you, and this was given to me as a gift. Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit

18- Let him, and pour a bucket or pail of water onto his urine. You were sent to make things easy and not to make them difficult

19- What is left of it (the sheep)? She replied: Nothing is left except its shoulder. He said: All of it is left except its shoulder

20- I used to pray with the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and his prayer was moderate in length and his sermon was moderate in length

21- Many women have gone round Muhammad's families complaining about their husbands. Those (husbands) are not the best of you

22- Whenever a woman harms her husband in this world, his wife from the Houris of Paradise says: Do not harm him! May Allah destroy you! He is but a passing guest with you, and he will soon leave you to join us

23- Spend (in charity), and do not keep account, lest Allah keep account of you, and do not hoard, lest Allah hoard from you

24- If I were to order anyone to prostrate himself before another, I would have ordered the wife to prostrate herself before her husband

25- You should pray as long as you have the energy to do so. If you feel tired, then lie down

26- The example of a miser and a generous person is that of two men wearing two iron cloaks covering their breasts up to their collar bones

27- Order him to speak, seek the shade, sit down, and complete his fast

28- Whoever finds his property intact with a bankrupt person, he has more right to take it than anyone else

29- If someone sells pollinated date palms, their fruits will be for the seller, unless the buyer stipulates the contrary

30- Do (good) deeds according to your capacity, for by Allah, Allah never grows weary (of giving rewards) unless you grow weary (of doing good deeds), and the best deed in His sight is that which is done regularly

31- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade riders being met on their way, and a townsman selling for a man from the desert

32- the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the Muzābanah sale: that is to sell fruits in one's garden, if it is palm trees, for dates by dry measure; and if it is a vineyard, to sell for raisins by dry measure; and if it is any crop to sell for a dry measure of its food. He forbade all such transactions

33- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited Shighār marriage

34- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the transaction called Habal al-Habalah

35- It is sustenance that Allah brought out for you. Do you have anything from its meat with you, so that you would feed us? We sent some of its meat to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) which he ate

36- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) bought food from a Jew and pledged him his iron armor

37- While we were on a journey with the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) a man came while riding a mount of his

38- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sales called Mukhābarah, Muhāqalah, Muzābanah and the selling of fruits until they are fit for eating. He also forbade the selling of fruits but for money, except in the case of ‘Araya

39- Whenever we stopped somewhere (during a journey) for rest, we would not offer (voluntary) prayer until we have unloaded the luggage from the mounts' backs

40- We visited Khabbāb ibn al-Aratt (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was ill and he had been cauterized in seven places

41- Two of the Companions of Muhammad (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) who never stop to pursue the good

42- You are the Most Glorious, the Most Holy, and the Lord of the angels and of the Spirit

43- Once the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) entered upon me while a man was in my house. He said: O ‘Ā'ishah, who is this (man)? I replied: He is my brother from breastfeeding. He said: O ‘Ā'ishah, be careful who you (women) count as your brothers from breastfeeding, for the breastfeeding (that makes marriage prohibited) is only that which satisfies hunger

44- O Messenger of Allah, I have acquired a piece of land in Khaybar, and I have never acquired a property more precious to me than that. What do you command me to do with it? He said: If you wish you can keep its origin as an endowment, and give its yield in charity

45- O Messenger of Allah, I married a woman. He asked: How much did you give her as dowry? He replied: A date seed weight of gold. he then said: May Allah grant you blessing. Hold a wedding feast, even if only with a sheep

46- Beware! Beware! This is definitely usury! This is definitely usury! Do not do so, but if you want to buy (a superior kind of dates) sell the inferior dates for money, and then buy the superior kind of dates with that money

47- the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited the price of a dog, the earnings of a prostitute, and the money paid to a soothsayer

48- Do you think I bargained with you to take your camel? Take your camel and your dirhams; these are yours

49- Mention was made of coitus interruptus in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) whereupon he said: Why would anyone of you do that? Verily, no soul is ordained to be created but Allah will create it

50- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade ‘Uthmān ibn Mazh‘ūn to be celibate. If he had given him permission we would have castrated ourselves

51- I give her to you in marriage for what you have of the Qur'an

52- Do not buy it back and do not take back your charity, even if he gives it to you for one dirham, for the one who takes back his gift is like the one who takes back his vomit

53- The one who takes back the gift he has given to someone is like one who eats his vomit

54- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in his house during his illness

55- Whoever pays in advance for anything, let him pay for a specified measure and a specified weight, to be delivered on a specified period of time

56- We were the wealthiest farmers among the Ansār, and we used to lease out the land (saying): The produce of this (part of land) would be ours and (the produce) of that would be theirs. But it so happened that at times this (land) gave harvest, but the other one produced nothing. So he (the Prophet) forbade this. However, so far as the payment in silver is concerned, he did not forbid it

57- We used to practice coitus interruptus while the Qur'an was being revealed. Sufyān said: If it had been something unlawful, then the Qur'an would have prohibited us from practicing it

58- A woman should not mourn for any dead person more than three days except her husband for whom she should mourn four months and ten days. She should not wear dyed clothes (while in mourning) except ‘Asb (an unattractive Yemeni garment), nor should she apply kohl or touch perfume, except when she becomes purified (from her menses), as she may then apply a little Qust or Azhfār (types of incense)

59- Do not sell gold for gold except like for like, and do not sell less amount for greater amount or vice versa. And do not sell silver for silver except like for like, and do not sell less amount for greater amount or vice versa. And do not sell gold or silver that is not present at the moment of exchange for gold or silver that is present

60- One may not combine in marriage a woman and her paternal aunt, or a woman and her maternal aunt

61- It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for a deceased more than three [days], but for her husband, four months and ten days

62- No one should prevent his neighbor from inserting a wooden peg into his wall. Abu Hurayrah then said: Why do I see you averse to that? By Allah, I will spread it [forcefully] among you

63- When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: ''Allah hears the one who praises Him,'' none of us would bend his back until the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) had fallen in prostration. We would then fall in prostration right after him

64- When someone complained of an ailment

65- It is from the Sunnah that if someone marries a virgin, he should stay with her (the virgin) for seven days and then divide the nights between them. But if he marries a previously married woman, he should stay with her for three days, then divide the nights (between his wives)

66- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said concerning the daughter of Hamzah: She is not lawful for me (to marry). That which is unlawful due to lineage (blood relation) is unlawful due to breastfeeding. She is the daughter of my foster-brother.

67- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to strive to fast on Mondays and Thursdays

68- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to seek refuge (with Allah) against the Jinn and the evil eye

69- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to break his fast before praying by having three fresh dates

70- What did the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to do at his home? She said: He used to be at the service of his family. But when the time for prayer came, he would go out to the prayer

71- Of the people who live the best kind of life is the man who holds the reins of his horse in the way of Allah

72- Anyone among you stays behind and takes good care of the family and property of a warrior (in the cause of Allah) will receive half the reward of the warrior

73- Anyone falsely claims to be the son of other than his father, knowing that he is not his father, will be forbidden to enter Paradise

74- Do not disown your fathers. Whoever disowns his father has disbelieved

75- No invading group or detachment sets out to fight in the cause of Allah and gets its share of the booty and returns safe and sound, but it has been given two-thirds of its reward in this world. On the other hand, no invading group or detachment returns defeated and injured but it will receive its full reward in the Hereafter

76- He who sets free a Muslim slave, Allah will deliver from the fire of Hell every part of his body in return for every part of the slave's body, even his private parts

77- Whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, Allah shall put between him and Hellfire a trench as wide as the distance between the heavens and the earth

78- He who washes a dead person and conceals what he sees, Allah will grant him forgiveness forty times

79- If anyone does not fight in the cause of Allah, equip a warrior in the cause of Allah, or stay behind to look after a warrior's family, Allah shall afflict him with a calamity before the Day of Judgment

80- When you let loose your trained dog (after a game) and you mention the name of Allah, then eat what it catches for you

81- News about the dispute among the people of Banu ‘Amr ibn ‘Awf reached the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and so he went to them, along with some of his Companions, to effect reconciliation between them

82- The one who boasts of receiving what he has not been given is like the one who has put on two garments of falsehood

83- O Allah, have mercy on those who shaved their heads. They said: And those who shortened their hair, O Messenger of Allah? He said: O Allah, have mercy on those who shaved their heads. They said: And those who shortened their hair, O Messenger of Allah? He said: O Allah, have mercy on those who shaved their heads. They said: And those who shortened their hair, O Messenger of Allah? He said: And those who shortened their hair

84- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) combined the Maghrib and ‘Ishā' prayers (at Muzdalifah) with one Iqāmah. He did not offer any voluntary prayers in between or after either of them

85- If the person passing in front of someone praying knew the extent of the guilt he is incurring, he would prefer to stand for forty rather than pass in front him. Abu An-Nadr said: I am not sure if he said forty days, months, or years

86- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to bring out the young girls and the girls who stay home on the two Eid days, and ordered the menstruating women to distance themselves from the praying area of the Muslims

87- Anyone loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him; and anyone dislikes to meet Allah, Allah dislikes to meet him

88- O Allah, forgive my past and future sins, my hidden and apparent sins, my transgression, and the sins that You know of more than I do. You are the One who puts forward and the One who holds back. There is no god but You

89- I stood in prayer one night with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him). He stood up and recited Sūrat al-Baqarah. Whenever he came across a verse mentioning mercy, he stopped and asked (Allah for mercy); and whenever he came across a verse mentioning punishment, he stopped and sought refuge (with Allah from it)

90- O Allah, to You I submit, in You I believe, upon You I rely, by Your help I contend with my foes, and to You I refer for judgment. So, forgive me the sins I committed in the past and those I may commit in the future, those I did secretly and those I did openly, and all that which You know of better than I do. There is no god but You

91- Allah has spoken the truth, and your brother's abdomen has lied. Let him drink honey

92- O Allah, Lord of Jibrīl, Mikha'īl, and Israfil, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You judge between Your slaves concerning that in which they used to differ. Guide me, by Your permission, to the truth about which people differ. Verily, You guide whom You will to the straight path

93- Water is pure and nothing makes it impure

94- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to take a ritual bath with water left over from Maymūnah (may Allah be pleased with her)

95- Water is not affected by Janābah

96- It is not impure. It is one of those who roam around among you

97- Whatever is cut from an animal while it is alive, then it is dead flesh

98- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about making vinegar out of an alcoholic drink. He said: No

99- The urine of a girl should be washed, but the urine of a boy should be splashed with water

100- She should scrape it, rub it with water, and wash it, and then she may pray in it
