1- Umm Hufayd, Ibn ‘Abbās's aunt, sent some dried yogurt, ghee (butter), and a mastigure (sand lizard) to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) as a gift

2- If you shoot your arrow and it disappears from sight and you find it later, you may eat it (the game) unless it smells bad

3- Some people said: O Messenger of Allah, meat was brought to us by some people, and we are not sure whether the name of Allah has been mentioned on it or not. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: Mention the name of Allah upon it and eat it

4- A woman slaughtered a sheep with a sharp stone. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about it and he ordered that it be eaten

5- Whoever can afford it but does not offer a sacrifice, let him not come near our prayer place

6- In the year of Al-Hudaybiyah, we slaughtered with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) a camel on behalf of seven persons and a cow on behalf of seven persons

7- This verse: {Allah does not impose blame upon you for what is unintentional in your oaths} [Sūrat al-Baqarah: 225] was revealed concerning saying: "No, by Allah" and "Yes, by Allah"

8- The expiation for a vow is the same as the expiation for an oath

9- If a judge issues a ruling, having tried his best to decide correctly, and his ruling is right, he will have a double reward, but if he issues a ruling, having tried his best to decide correctly, and his ruling is wrong, he will have a single reward

10- Shall I not inform you who the best witness is? He is the one who gives his testimony before he is asked for it

11- Anyone who takes a false oath at this pulpit of mine, even concerning a green tooth-stick, will surely occupy his seat in Hell

12- Whoever manumits a Muslim, Allah will save from Hell each organ of his body for each organ of him

13- People of two different religions do not inherit from one another

14- There is a prayer between every two Adhāns; there is a prayer between every two Adhāns." The third time, he said: "for whoever wills

15- Perform Hajj and ‘Umrah in succession, for they expel poverty and sins just as the bellows expels impurities from iron, gold, and silver. There is no reward for an accepted Hajj except Paradise

16- Either some people stop abandoning the Friday prayers, or Allah will, indeed, seal their hearts, and then they will be among the heedless

17- Whoever abandons three Fridays out of negligence, Allah seals his heart

18- At the end of time, there will come a people, young in age and foolish in mind. They will speak about the best words of creation, but they will pass through Islam as an arrow passes through its target

19- A believer will remain in the spaciousness of his religion as long as he does not shed inviolable blood

20- Some people from ‘Ukl or ‘Uraynah came, and the climate of Madīnah did not suit them, so they became ill

21- Whoever commits a Hadd (legally punishable sin) and his punishment is hastened for him in this world, then Allah is too just to repeat the punishment for His slave in the Hereafter

22- Verily, Allah is pleased with three things for you and is displeased with three things for you

23- I was taken to perform pilgrimage with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) in the Farewell Pilgrimage, when I was seven years old.

24- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) performed Hajj on the back of a camel, and the same mount was carrying his baggage as well.

25- ‘Ukkāzh, Mijannah, and Dhū al-Majāz were markets in the pre-Islamic period of ignorance. They considered it a sin to trade during the seasons. So it was revealed: {There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord.}

26- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) arranged for a horse race among the horses that had been especially prepared for that purpose to take place between Al-Hafyā' and Thaniyyat al-Wadā‘.

27- ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him) consulted the people about a woman who was caused to miscarry.

28- Two women from the Hudhayl tribe fought each other. One of them threw a stone at the other, killing her along with what was in her womb.

29- A girl was found with her head crushed between two stones.

30- The Jews came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him that a man and woman from among them had committed unlawful sexual intercourse.

31- One of you bites his brother like a male camel does! There is no blood money for you.

32- The Quraysh were greatly concerned about the case of the Makhzūmi woman who had committed theft.

33- We chased a rabbit at Marr Azh-Zhahrān. The people ran after it but they got tired.

34- A person from the Ansār declared that a slave of his would be free after he dies.

35- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the unmarried bondmaid who fornicates.

36- O Messenger of Allah, is it forbidden? He said: No. Yet it is not found in the land of my people, and I feel that I have no liking for it. Khālid said: I then chewed and ate it, while the Messenger was looking

37- Sulaymān ibn Dawūd (Prophet Solomon) (peace be upon him) said: "I will indeed have sexual intercourse with seventy women at night, and each one of them will give birth to a child who will fight in the cause of Allah."

38- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) divided the spoils, allotting two shares to the horse and one share to the man.

39- Keep some of your wealth, for this is better for you

40- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to grant some of those whom he sent in a detachment a special share of the war booty, apart from other members of the army.

41- The property of Banu An-Nadīr was among what Allah, the Almighty, bestowed upon His Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) as spoils and for which the Muslims did not have to fight, neither on horses nor on camels.

42- Let no one judge between two people while being angry.

43- Whoever frees his share of a common slave and he has sufficient money to free him completely, should let its price be estimated by a just man and give his partners the price of their shares and manumit the slave

44- Whoever emancipates a share in a slave should completely emancipate him from his money, if he can afford it. Otherwise, a fair price should be set for the slave.

45- We participated with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) in seven battles wherein we ate locusts.

46- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) entered Makkah from Kadā', from the upper mountain pass which is in Al-Bat-hā', and exited from the lower mountain pass.

47- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to go by way of Ash-Shajarah and return by way of Al-Mu‘arras. He would also enter Makkah through the Higher Pass and leave through the Lower Pass.

48- Go back to your families and stay with them. Teach them (religion) and command them (to adhere to it), perform so-and-so prayer at so-and-so time, and when prayer becomes due, let one of you call the Adhān and let the oldest among you lead you in prayer

49- As the verse of Hajj Tamattu‘ was revealed, the Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to perform it. Nothing was revealed in the Qur'an abrogating it nor did the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibit it until he died

50- I asked Ibn ‘Abbās about Hajj Tamattu‘. He ordered me to perform it. I asked him about the Hady (sacrifice), and he said: You have to slaughter a camel, a cow, a sheep, or you may share the Hady with others. It seemed that some people disliked it

51- A person in a state of Ihrām eating from a game that was not hunted for him, nor did he assist in hunting it

52- These are the signs which Allah sends, not on account of the death of anyone or life of any one, but Allah sends them to frighten His servants thereby. So when you see any such thing, hasten to remember Him, supplicate Him, and beg pardon from Him

53- A man bought a piece of land from another man, and the one who bought the land found in his land a jar containing gold

54- There were two women, each had her son with her. A wolf came and took away the son of one of them

55- The spoils of war were not made lawful for any people before us, then Allah made the spoils of war lawful for us when He saw our weakness and helplessness, so He made them lawful for us

56- I saw that when the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Makkah, he would touch the Black Corner in the beginning of his Tawāf and walk briskly for three rounds

57- O Messenger of Allah, I could not offer the ‘Asr prayer till the sun had set. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Allah! I have not yet prayed it either. So we went to But-hān, and he performed ablution and so did we, and then he offered the ‘Asr prayer after the sun had set and then followed it with the Maghrib prayer

58- At the time of the battle of Uhud, my father called me at night and said: I have a feeling that I will be the first to be killed from among the Prophet's Companions

59- O Messenger of Allah, how come the people have ended their state of Ihrām for ‘Umrah while you have not? he said: I have applied to my hair that which would make it matted and marked my sacrificial animal, and I will not end my Ihrām until I slaughter

60- I stayed overnight in the house of my aunt Maymūnah. When the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) stood to perform Prayer at night, I joined him and stood on his left. He, then, took me by the head and made me stand on his right

61- May Allah fill their graves and houses with fire, as they distracted us from the middle prayer until the sun set

62- Three types of people will receive a double reward: a man from the People of the Book who believed in his Prophet and then believed in Muhammad, a slave who fulfilled his duties towards Allah and towards his masters, and a man who had a female slave and he taught her good manners, educated her well, then freed her and married her; he will receive a double reward

65- Well-done! That is a profitable deal! That is a profitable deal! I heard what you said: and I suggest that you give it to your nearest relatives

66- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) entered Makkah in the Year of the Conquest wearing a helmet on his head. When he took it off, a man came to him and said: Ibn Khatal is hanging on to the drapes of the Ka‘bah, so he (the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: Kill him

67- O ‘Umar, do you not know that a man’s uncle is like his father?

68- How did the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) wash his head when he was in the state of Ihrām?

69- We came with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) while we were pronouncing Talbiyah for Hajj, but the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us; so we made it ‘Umrah

70- The devil circulates in the son of Adam like blood. I feared lest he should cast evil thoughts in your hearts

71- I was carried to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and lice were falling on my face. He said: I never thought your ailment has reached such an extent. Can you afford a sheep (as a ransom for shaving your head)? I replied: No. He then said: Fast three days, or feed six poor people.

72- Hadīth of Dhu al-Yadayn concerning the prostration of forgetfulness

73- The martyrs are five: the one who dies from plague, who dies from an abdominal disease, who drowns, who dies because debris fell on him, and the one who dies fighting in the cause of Allah

74- The Messenger of Allah dispatched a secret troop of ten men under the leadership of ‘Āsim ibn Thābit al-Ansāri

75- The prayer of fear in the expedition of Dhāt Ar-Riqā‘

76- ‘Aqra Halqa! Did she perform the Tawāf on the Day of An-Nahr? It was said: Yes. He said: Then you can depart

77- The people of Kufa complained to ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb about their governor Sa‘d. He dismissed him and appointed ‘Ammār as their governor

78- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon after having offered the prayer on Eid al-Ad'ha. He said: Whoever prayed our prayer and slaughtered our sacrifice has properly observed the ritual. And whoever slaughtered (his sacrifice) before the (Eid) prayer has not observed the ritual

79- A woman came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) with a woven mantle

80- While a man was walking through a barren land, he heard a voice coming out of a cloud

81- ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) divorced his wife while she was menstruating. So, ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) informed the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) about that, and he became furious at him

82- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited the selling and gifting of Walā'

83- "My wife has given birth to a black boy." The Prophet asked him: "Do you have camels?" He replied: 'Yes.' The Prophet asked: "What color are they?" He replied: 'Red.' The Prophet asked: "Is any of them gray?" He replied: 'Yes.' The Prophet asked: "From where did that grayness come?" He said: "It might have inherited it from its ancestors." The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perhaps this son of yours (also) inherited it (this color) from his ancestors."

84- How can you (keep your wife) when she (the slave-woman) has claimed that she suckled both of you?

85- If you are left behind and do good deeds whereby you seek Allah's pleasure, you will be raised a degree and your status will be elevated on account of them. Perhaps you will be left behind so that some people may benefit by you and others may be harmed by you

86- Give the prescribed shares (of inheritance) to their rightful beneficiaries, and whatever remains after that should be given to the closest male relatives

87- Deeds are presented (to Allah) on Monday and Thursday. So, I like my deeds to be presented while I am fasting

88- Have you not known that Mujazziz has recently looked at Zayd ibn Hārithah and Usāmah ibn Zayd and said: Indeed, these feet are related to one another?

89- Do not go out to meet the riders (in a trade caravan), do not urge buyers to cancel a sale transaction to make a new one with you, do not bid against each other (to fool another bidder), a townsman must not buy on behalf of a Bedouin, and do not tie up the udders of camels and sheep

90- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited the fixed term marriage on the Day of Khaybar and eating the flesh of domestic donkeys

91- On raising his head from bowing in the final Rak‘ah of the Fajr prayer, he would say: O Allah, curse so-and-so and so-and-so, after saying: "Allah hears those who praise Him, our Lord, all praise belongs to You." So, Allah revealed: {Not for you is the decision}

92- No financial maintenance is due to you upon him

93- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) emancipated Safiyyah and made her emancipation her dowry

94- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) made an agreement with the people of Khaybar to work and cultivate in return for half of the fruits or crops produced

95- During the Prophet's lifetime, a man accused his wife of adultery and disclaimed her child. So the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them both to swear the oath of condemnation against each other, as Allah, the Almighty, instructed, and they did. Then he decided that the child should be with the woman and separated them

96- You have no right over her. The man said: O Messenger of Allah, what about my money? The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: You have no right to get back your money. If you have told the truth about her, then your money was in return for the sexual intercourse you lawfully had with her; and if you have told a lie about her, then you are less rightful to get your money back

97- When a woman’s husband died, she would go into a small hut, wear her worst clothes and would not touch any kind of perfume until a whole year would pass. Then an animal – a donkey, bird, or sheep – would be brought to her and she would rub her skin with it

98- The price of a dog is evil, the earning of a prostitute is evil and the earning of a cupper is evil

99- When I asked Rāfi‘ ibn Khadīj about leasing land in return for gold and silver, he replied: There is no harm in it

100- The Messenger of Allah granted concession for the sale of Al-‘Arāyā (unpicked ripe dates for dry dates) when they are equal to or less than five Wasqs
