1- There are three to whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Judgment, nor will He purify them, and they will incur a painful punishment

2- When you travel through green lush land, give the camels their share from the ground, and when you travel through dry barren land, make them walk quickly before their strength falters

3- Travel during the night, for indeed, the land is folded up at night

4- When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) encamped to sleep at night during a journey, he would lie down on his right side, and when he wanted to sleep before dawn, he would extend his forearm and place his head on his palm

5- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to stick to the rear while traveling, urging the weak to walk quickly, letting some ride behind him, and making supplication for them

6- Whenever the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) mounted his camel while setting out on a journey, he would say Takbīr three times and then say: Glory be to the One who subdued this (ride) for us and we were not ourselves powerful enough to use it as a ride, and to our Lord we shall, indeed, return

7- O group of Muhājirūn and Ansār! There are among you such people who have no property and no kinsfolk. So let each one of you take along with him two or three men

8- When any one of you goes to his bed, let him dust off his bed with the end of his lower garment, for indeed he does not know what came unto it after he had left it

9- Seek refuge with Allah from arduous afflictions, degrading misery, preordained evils, and from the gloating of enemies

10- Food for two persons suffices for three, and food for three persons suffices for four

11- O Allah, verily I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Fire, the torment of the Fire, and from the evil of affluence and poverty

12- Fear Allah and say "Allah is the Greatest" upon every elevated place

13- Visit the sick, feed the hungry, and set free the captive

14- The superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like my superiority over the lowest among you

15- Allāhumma qini ‘adhābaka yawma tajma‘u or tab‘athu ‘ibādak (O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You gather or resurrect Your servants)

16- On sighting the new moon, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would say: O Allah, let this new moon appear on us with security and faith

17- When one-third of the night had passed, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would get up and call out: O people, remember Allah

18- Abu Bakr As-Siddīq (may Allah be pleased with him) had a slave who used to give him a portion of his daily income as the master's share. Abu Bakr used to eat the food bought with that share

19- Al-‘Adbā', the Prophet's she-camel, was never outrun

20- When we ascended (a high land), we used to say Takbīr, and when we descended, we used to say Tasbīh

21- O people, do not trouble yourselves too much. He Whom you are calling is not deaf or absent. Verily, He is with you, He is All-Hearing and Ever Near

22- No Muslim visits a (sick) Muslim early in the morning but seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him

23- Whoever acquires knowledge that should be pursued for the sake of Allah Almighty for the sole purpose of securing worldly gains shall not smell the ‘Arf of Paradise on the Day of Judgment

24- Whoever follows a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allah will facilitate for him a path to Paradise

25- Whoever says "there is no god but Allah, and Allah is Greatest," his Lord affirms it, saying: There is no god but Me, and I am Greatest

26- When Allah wants to punish a people, the punishment befalls whoever is among them, then they will be resurrected according to their deeds

27- Abu Sālih used to order us that if anyone of us wanted to sleep, he should lie on his right side

28- This is mercy that Allah, the Exalted, has placed in the hearts of His slaves. Verily, Allah shows mercy to those of His slaves who are merciful

29- If the slave draws closer to Me by a hand-span, I shall draw closer to him by a cubit; and if he draws closer to Me by a cubit, I shall draw closer to him by the span of two outstretched arms. If he comes to Me walking, I shall come to him running

30- While a man was walking on a path, he found a thorn branch on the road, so he put it aside. Allah, thus, thanked him and forgave him

31- Do not keep the farmland lest you should desire the world

32- This (line) represents man, and this (line) represents the end of his life, and while he is as such, the closest line overtakes him

33- The worst lie is when a man claims to have seen something which he has not seen

34- The one who boasts of receiving what he has not been given is like the one who has put on two garments of falsehood

35- It does not befit the truthful one to frequently curse others

36- Do not curse one another, invoking the curse of Allah or His wrath or the fire of Hell

37- Unload it and set it free, for it is cursed

38- Let the she-camel upon which curse has been invoked not accompany us

39- Oxus, Jaxartes, Euphrates, and the Nile are all from the rivers of Paradise

40- The devil said: By Your Might O Lord, I will continue to misguide Your slaves as long as their souls remain in their bodies. The Lord said: By My Might and My Majesty, I will continue to forgive them as long as they seek forgiveness from Me

41- Beware of the invocations of the oppressed person, for, indeed, they rise to heaven as if they were sparks of fire

42- Paradise and Hell argued with one another. Hell said: I have been assigned the arrogant and the tyrants. Paradise said: Why is it that only the weak, the insignificant, and the simple enter me?

43- Two gardens, the utensils and the contents of which are of silver; two other gardens, the utensils and the contents of which are of gold. Nothing will prevent people from looking at their Lord except the veil of pride over His Face in the Garden of Eden

44- Verily, in Paradise, there is a tree that the rider of a lean, swift horse would travel for a hundred years without reaching its end

45- Verily, in Paradise there is a market to which they will come every Friday

46- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) went out and supplicated for the martyrs of the battle of Uhud eight years after (their death), as if he was bidding farewell to the living and the dead

47- If anyone kills a gecko in the first strike will have one hundred good deeds recorded for him; and with the second strike lesser than that and with the third strike lesser than that

48- No woman among you loses three of her children to death except that they will screen her from Hellfire

49- Any Muslim who loses three of his children will not be touched by the Fire except in fulfillment of the oath

50- Any Muslim who loses (to death) three children before reaching puberty will be admitted by Allah into Paradise because of his being merciful to them

51- If a man says: People are ruined, he himself will be the most ruined among them all

52- When two people insult each other, the one who started will be the sinner until the oppressed exceeds the limits

53- A man was brought to him, and it was said: This is so-and-so, and his beard is dripping with wine. Thereupon he said: We have been prohibited from spying. However, if we see something evident, we will act upon it

54- It is unlawful for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three (days); so whoever abandons more than three then dies will enter the Hellfire

55- Verily, Allah tortures those who torture people in this world

56- Whoever beats his slave boy or slaps him for something that he has not done, then the expiation for that is to set him free

57- Why do you sit in pathways? Avoid sitting in pathways

58- The first to be judged on the Day of Judgment is a man who was martyred. He will be brought and Allah will remind him of His favor [upon him], which he will recognize. Allah will say: What did you do as a token of gratitude for that favor? He will say: I fought for Your sake until I was martyred

59- What do you think of a man who does a good deed and people praise him for it? He said: That is instant good news for the believer

60- The sanctity of the wives of the Mujāhids for those who stay behind is like the sanctity of their own mothers

61- I asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about the sudden glance, and he commanded me to avert my gaze

62- Cover the vessels, fasten the waterskins, close the doors, and extinguish the lamps, for, indeed, the devil does not loosen waterskins, nor open doors, nor uncover vessels

63- O people, he who knows about something, let him say it. And he who does not know should say: Allah knows best. It is part and parcel of knowledge that a man who does not know something should say: Allah knows best

64- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a man wears his shoes while standing

65- Do not curse the fever, for it removes the sins of the children of Adam the same way the bellows remove the impurities of iron

66- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) commanded licking the fingers and the dish (after eating), and he said: You do not know in which portion the blessing lies

67- May the fasting people break their fast in your house, and may the righteous eat your food, and may the angels ask forgiveness and mercy for you

68- Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people; rather, He takes away knowledge with the death of the scholars

69- Should I not feel shy of a man whom the angels feel shy of?

70- If anyone says "I ask forgiveness from Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence, and I turn to Him in repentance," his sins will be forgiven even if he has fled from the battlefield

71- Recite the Qur’an, for on the Day of Judgment it will come as an intercessor for those who recite it

72- Verily, what I fear for you is a man who recites the Qur’an until its brightness appears on him and he becomes a support of Islam. (This continues) until this man changes his state to what Allah wills. He detaches himself from it and throws it behind his back. Then he starts attacking his neighbor with the sword, accusing him of polytheism

73- Allah selected Kinānah from the children of Isma‘īl, Quraysh from Kinānah, the children of Hāshim from Quraysh, and me from the children of Hāshim. So I am the master of the children of Adam, without pride. And I am the first for which the earth will be split open, and I am the first intercessor, and the first to be granted intercession

74- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) invoked evil on the tribe of Banu Sulaym for one month after rising from Rukū‘ in prayer

75- Fātimah is a piece of me, so whoever makes her angry makes me angry

76- Every nation has an extremely trustworthy man, and the most trustworthy man of this Ummah is Abu ‘Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrāh

77- Every prophet had a disciple and my disciple is Az-Zubayr

78- Az-Zubayr is the son of my paternal aunt and a disciple among my followers

79- Offer this prayer at this time and that prayer at that time. When the time for a prayer is due, let one of you call the Adhān, and let the one who knows the Qur’an most lead the prayer

80- O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my hearing, light on my right, light on my left, light above me, light below me, light in front of me, light behind me, make light for me

81- If one of you is invited to a wedding banquet, he should attend

82- The worst food is the food of a wedding banquet to which the rich are invited while the poor are left out. Anyone who does not answer the invitation has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)

83- If anyone of you is invited, let him answer the invitation. If he is fasting, let him supplicate (for the inviter); if he is not fasting, let him eat

84- Blessing descends in the middle of the food. So eat from the sides, and do not eat from the middle

85- the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) allocated two days to ‘Ā’ishah; her own day and that of Sawdah

86- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to ask in his final illness: Where will I be tomorrow? Where will I be tomorrow? He was looking forward to ‘Ā'ishah's turn [to stay with her]. So, his wives allowed him to stay wherever he wished

87- When your servant brings you your food, if you do not ask him to join you, then (at least) give him a bite or two, or a mouthful or two, for he was in charge of preparing it

88- A woman was tormented because of a cat which she had kept locked up until it died, and she was thrown into Hell for that. She neither gave it food or drink when she locked it up nor freed it so that it would eat from the vermin of the earth

89- The most rebellious of people against Allah, Exalted and Glorified, is someone who kills another in the sacred precincts of Allah

90- Avoid this filth, which Allah has prohibited. The one who commits it, let him conceal himself with Allah's concealment and repent to Allah, for, indeed, anyone who exposes his sin to us, we shall enforce the Book of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, on him

91- May Allah curse the thief who steals an egg and his hand is cut off for that, and he steals a rope and his hand is cut off for that

92- Wear white clothes, for they are among the best of your clothes; and shroud your deceased in them

93- No Muslim is afflicted with a calamity and then says what Allah has commanded: {We belong to Allah, and to Him we will return} [Surat al-Baqarah: 156], O Allah, reward me in my calamity and replace it for me with something better, except that Allah replaces it for him with something better

94- What do I have to do with this worldly life? I am in this worldly life like a rider who seeks shade under a tree, then he goes away and leaves it

95- He who has no integrity has no faith, and he who does not keep his covenant has no religion

96- Keep some of your wealth, for this is better for you

97- "I am not weeping because I do not know that what Allah holds is better for the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), but I weep because the revelation from the sky has stopped." Her words moved them to tears and they began to weep along with her

98- Today, I shall be the gatekeeper of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came and pushed the door and I said: "Who is it?" He said: "This is Abu Bakr." I said: "Wait, please." I went and said: "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr seeks permission to come in." He said: "Let him in and give him glad tidings of Paradise."

99- These are the signs which Allah sends, not on account of the death of anyone or life of any one, but Allah sends them to frighten His servants thereby. So when you see any such thing, hasten to remember Him, supplicate Him, and beg pardon from Him

100- A man bought a piece of land from another man, and the one who bought the land found in his land a jar containing gold
