1- O people, indeed, Allah is good and does not accept except what is good. Indeed, Allah has commanded the believers with what he commanded the messengers

2- Purity is half of faith, al-hamdulillāh (praise be to Allah) fills the Scale, and subhānallāh wa al-hamdulillāh (glory and praise be to Allah) fills what is between the heavens and the earth

3- The best dhikr is lā ilāha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah), and the best supplication is Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah)

4- The nearest a slave to his Lord is while he is prostrating, so increase supplication

5- The most beloved speech to Allah are four: subhān Allah (glory be Allah), al-hamdulillāh (praise be to Allah), la ilāha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah), and Allāhu akbar (Allah is the Most Great), and it does not matter which one of them you start with

6- There are two words that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and dear to the Most Merciful

7- Whoever alights somewhere and then says: '‘A‘ūdhu bi kalimātillāh at-tāmmāti min sharri ma khalaq (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created)', nothing will harm him until he leaves that place

8- To say 'subhān Allah wa al-hamdulillāh wa lā ilāha illa Allah wa Allāhu akbar (Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Most Great)' is more beloved to me than everything upon which the sun rises

9- Whoever recites the last two verses of Sūrat al-Baqarah at a night, they will suffice him

11- O ‘Abbās, O uncle of the Messenger of Allah, ask Allah for safety in this life and the Hereafter

12- When one mentions Allah's name upon entering his house and upon eating, the devil says (to his companions): 'There is no night shelter nor supper here for you

13- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would often say: "O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion

14- Do not supplicate against yourselves, do not supplicate against your children, and do not supplicate against your property, lest you do it at a time in which Allah answers all supplications so you will be granted what you asked for

15- Your supplication is answered as long as one of you is not in haste, saying: I have supplicated to my Lord, but He has not yet answered me

16- The nearest the Lord to a servant is in the course of the last part of the night

17- Whoever says (upon leaving his house) "In the name of Allah; I rely on Allah; there is no might and no power save in Allah", it will be said to him: "You are guided, sufficed, and protected", and the devil will go far away from him

18- Verily, I know a word; if he said it, his rage would go away. If he said: I seek refuge with Allah from the devil, his rage would go away

19- I am as My slave thinks of Me and I am with him when he remembers Me

20- When any of you sleeps, the devil ties three knots at the back of his head, striking each knot: Ahead of you is a long night, so keep sleeping

21- The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember His Lord is like the example of the living and the dead person

22- O people, indeed, Allah is good and does not accept except what is good. Indeed, Allah has commanded the believers with what he commanded the messengers

23- By Allah! I ask Allah for forgiveness and repent to Him more than seventy times a day

24- The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned, but he does not invoke Allah's blessings upon me

25- Whoever eats food and says 'Alhamdulillah al-ladhi at‘amani hadha wa razaqneih min ghayri hawl li wala quwwah (Praise be to Allah who fed me and provided me with this food through no might or power on my part)', his past sins will be forgiven

26- Supplication between the Adhān (call to prayer) and the Iqāmah (second call to prayer) is not rejected

27- O Allah, set right for me my religion that is the safeguard of my affairs

28- O Lord, forgive me my sin, my ignorance, my excess in all of my affairs, and whatever You are better aware of than me. O Allah, forgive me my sins, my deliberate sins, my ignorant sins, my humorous sins, and all of this I have committed. O Allah, forgive what I have done and what I have left undone, what I have committed secretly and what I have committed openly; You are the Advancer and You are the Delayer, and You have absolute power over everything

29- O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter

30- O Allah, I ask You for all that is good, the immediate and the deferred thereof, what I know and what I do not know. And I seek refuge with You from all that is evil, the immediate and the deferred thereof, what I know and what I do not know

31- O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the removal of Your favor, the change of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your calamity, and all of Your wrath

32- O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the dominance of debt, the dominance of the enemy, and the gloat of the enemies

33- O Allah, by You we have reached the morning, and by You we have reached the evening; by You we live, and by You we die, and to You is the Resurrection

34- The supplication that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) recited most was: "Allāhumma rabbana ātina fi ad-dunya hasanah wa fi al-ākhirati hasanah wa qina ‘adhāb an-nār (O Allah our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good and protect us from the torment of the Fire)

35- The best way of seeking Allah's forgiveness

36- Whenever the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) went to his bed, he would blow into his hands, recite the Mu‘awwidhāt, and then pass his hands over his body

37- Praise be to Allah Who gave us food and drink, provided for us sufficiently, and gave us shelter, for how many there are who have no one to provide for them or to give them shelter

38- There are three supplications that will undoubtedly be answered: the supplication of the oppressed

39- Say: O Allah, guide me and make me adhere to the straight path, and when asking for Huda (guidance), think of your being guided to the right path, and Sadād (adherence to the straight path) is the straightness of the arrow

40- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from leucoderma, insanity, leprosy, and evil diseases

41- Let me guide you to something better than what you asked for. When you go to bed, say ‘Subhān Allah' (glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, ‘Alhamdulillāh' (praise be to Allah) thirty-three times, and ‘Allāhu Akbar' (Allah is the Most Great) thirty-four times. This is better for you than a servant

42- {Say: "He is Allah, the One"} and Al-Mu'awwidhatān (Surat al-Falaq and Surat an-Nās) thrice in the evening and the morning, they will grant you protection from everything

43- Whoever says three times: 'In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing in the earth or the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing' will not suffer sudden affliction until the morning

44- Say: La ilāha illallāhu wahdahu la sharīka lah, Allāhu akbar kabīra, wa al-hamdulillāhi kathīra, subhānallāhi Rabbi al-‘ālamīn, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billāhi al-‘azīz al-hakīm (There is no god but Allah, alone with no partner. Allah is the Greatest with all greatness, and abundant praise is due to Allah. Allah, the Lord of the worlds, is exalted above imperfection. There is no might nor power except with Allah, the Mighty and the All-Wise)

45- I said: O Messenger of Allah, teach me a supplication. He said: Say O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, from the evil of my sight, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of my semen

46- There are certain things, the sayer of which – or the performer of which – after every prescribed prayer will never be disappointed: Tasbīh (saying 'Subhānallāh') thirty-three times, Tahmīd (saying 'Al-hamdulillāh') thirty-three times, and Takbīr (saying 'Allāhu Akbar') thirty-four times

47- When the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque, he would say: "a‘ūdhu billāhi al-‘azhīm wa biwajhihi al-karīm wa sultānihi al-qadīm min ash-shaytān ar-rajīm" (I seek refuge in Allah, the Majestic, and in His noble Countenance, and in His eternal dominion, from the accursed devil)

48- O Allah, I ask You for its good and the good of what is in it and the good of the purpose for which it was sent; and I seek Your refuge from its evil and the evil of what is in it and the evil of the purpose for which it was sent

49- The wind is from the blessings of Allah. It brings mercy, and it brings punishment. When you see it, do not swear at it, but ask Allah for its goodness and seek Allah's refuge from its evil

50- Those privies are attended by the devils, so if anyone of you goes to a privy, let him say: I seek refuge with Allah from the male and female devils

51- They spoke the truth. They are tormented, and their torment can be heard by all animals

52- Satan comes to one of you and says, 'Who created such and such, and who created such and such', until he says: 'Who created your Lord?' If a person experiences this, he should seek refuge with Allah and desist from that

53- When any of you enters the mosque, let him say: 'Allahumma iftah li abwāba rahmatik' (O Allah, open for me the gates of Your mercy). And when he leaves, let him say: 'Allahumma inni as’aluka min fadlik' (O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty)

54- That is Satan who is known as Khinzab. If you perceive his effect, seek refuge with Allah from him and spit three times to your left

55- Whoever says a hundred times in a day: "La ilāha illallāhu wahdahu la sharīka lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadīr" (There is no god but Allah. He is One, and He has no partner with Him; to Him belong the sovereignty and praise, and He is competent over all things)

56- In the evening, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: The evening has reached, and all the dominion belongs to Allah and praise be to Allah. There is no god but Allah, alone with no partner.

57- Recite frequently: Yādha al-jalāl wa al-ikrām (O Possessor of Majesty and Bounty)

58- A man came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I intend to go on a journey, so give me provision. He said: May Allah grant you piety as your provision

59- There is an hour at night that no Muslim happens to be asking Allah, the Almighty, any good of this world or the Hereafter except that He will give it to him, and this occurs every night

60- Is anyone of you unable to earn a thousand good deeds every day?

61- Whenever the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) finished eating, he would say: Allah be praised with an abundant, sincere, and blessed praise. O our Lord, You are not in need of anyone, and we cannot do without Your favor nor dispense with it

62- O Allah, You are my Supporter and my Helper. With Your help I get strength, and with Your help I pounce upon the enemy and defeat it, and with Your help I fight

63- Two supplications are never rejected, or are rarely rejected: supplication made upon hearing the call to prayer and during battle when the two armies are engaged in fighting

64- A mount was brought to ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) to ride on, and when he put his foot in the stirrup, he said: In the name of Allah

65- Allāhumma inni a‘ūdhu bika min munkarāti al-akhlāqi wal-a‘māli wal-ahwā’ (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from evil morals, deeds, and desires)

66- O Allah, we ask You to ward them off (from their throats), and we seek Your protection against their evil

67- The lasting good deeds are the statements: There is no god but Allah, glory be to Allah, Allah is the greatest, praise be to Allah, there is no power or might except with Allah

68- O Allah, I ask You by virtue of my testimony that You are Allah; there is no God but You, the One, the Eternal Refuge, Who did not beget, and was not begotten, and to Whom no one is equal

69- O Allah, just as You made my external form beautiful, make my character beautiful as well

70- Allāhumma inni a‘ūdhu bika min al-‘ajzi wal-kasal, wal-jubni wal-bukhl, wal-harami wa ‘adhāb al-qabr. Allāhumma āti nafsi taqwāha, wa zakkiha anta khayru man zakkāha, anta waliyyuha wa mawlāha. Allāhumma inni a‘ūdhu bika min ‘ilmin la yanfa‘, wa min qalbin la yakhsha‘, wa min nafsin la tashba‘, wa min da‘watin la yustajābu laha" (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from inability, indolence, cowardice, miserliness, decrepitude, and torment of the grave. O Allah, grant me the sense of piety and purify my soul as You are the Best to purify it. You are its Protector and its Guardian. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from knowledge that is not beneficial, from a heart that does not fear, from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered)

71- O Allah, I seek refuge in You from hunger, for it is an evil bed-fellow, and I seek refuge in You from treachery, for it is an evil hidden trait

72- Say: Allāhumma ikfini bihalālika ‘an harāmik waghnini bifadlika ‘amman siwāk (O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful against what You have made unlawful, and make me with Your bounty in no need of anyone besides You)

73- O Allah, I seek refuge with You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, senility, and miserliness. And I seek refuge with You from the torment of the grave. And I seek refuge with You from the trials of life and death

74- When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) traveled, he would seek refuge from the hardships of the journey, from having a change of heart, adverse conditions replacing good ones, the prayer of an oppressed person, and from seeing a misfortune occurring to his family and wealth

75- Whenever the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) mounted his camel while setting out on a journey, he would say Takbīr three times and then say: Glory be to the One who subdued this (ride) for us and we were not ourselves powerful enough to use it as a ride, and to our Lord we shall, indeed, return

76- When any one of you goes to his bed, let him dust off his bed with the end of his lower garment, for indeed he does not know what came unto it after he had left it

77- Seek refuge with Allah from arduous afflictions, degrading misery, preordained evils, and from the gloating of enemies

78- O Allah, verily I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Fire, the torment of the Fire, and from the evil of affluence and poverty

79- Fear Allah and say "Allah is the Greatest" upon every elevated place

80- On sighting the new moon, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would say: O Allah, let this new moon appear on us with security and faith

81- When one-third of the night had passed, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would get up and call out: O people, remember Allah

82- When we ascended (a high land), we used to say Takbīr, and when we descended, we used to say Tasbīh

83- Whoever says "there is no god but Allah, and Allah is Greatest," his Lord affirms it, saying: There is no god but Me, and I am Greatest

84- Abu Sālih used to order us that if anyone of us wanted to sleep, he should lie on his right side

85- The devil said: By Your Might O Lord, I will continue to misguide Your slaves as long as their souls remain in their bodies. The Lord said: By My Might and My Majesty, I will continue to forgive them as long as they seek forgiveness from Me

86- Beware of the invocations of the oppressed person, for, indeed, they rise to heaven as if they were sparks of fire

87- May the fasting people break their fast in your house, and may the righteous eat your food, and may the angels ask forgiveness and mercy for you

88- If anyone says "I ask forgiveness from Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence, and I turn to Him in repentance," his sins will be forgiven even if he has fled from the battlefield

89- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) invoked evil on the tribe of Banu Sulaym for one month after rising from Rukū‘ in prayer

90- O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my hearing, light on my right, light on my left, light above me, light below me, light in front of me, light behind me, make light for me

91- These are the signs which Allah sends, not on account of the death of anyone or life of any one, but Allah sends them to frighten His servants thereby. So when you see any such thing, hasten to remember Him, supplicate Him, and beg pardon from Him

92- O Allah, cure Sa‘d, O Allah, cure Sa‘d

93- O Allah, save ʿAyyāsh ibn Abu Rabīʿah. O Allah, save Salamah ibn Hishām. O Allah, save Al-Walīd ibn al-Walīd. O Allah, save the oppressed believers. O Allah, be hard on [the tribe of] Mudar. O Allah, afflict them with years of famine and drought like the years of Yūsuf (Joseph)

94- My Lord, support me and do not support others against me; grant me victory and do not grant others victory over me; plan for me and do not plan against me; guide me and make my guidance easy for me; grant me victory against whoever wronged me

95- O Allah, to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed, in You I have put my trust, to You I have turned in repentance, and for You I have argued. O Allah, I seek refuge with Your power, there is no god but You, that You lead me astray. You are the Ever Living, the One who never dies, whereas the human beings and jinn will all die

96- How can I be at ease when the one with the trumpet has put his lips to the trumpet waiting to hear the order to blow it?

97- O Allah, forgive my past and future sins, and my secret and open sins

98- Allāhumma laka aslamt, wa bika āmant, wa ‘alayka tawakkalt, wa ’ilayka anabt, wa bika khāsamt. Allāhumma inni a‘ūdhu bi‘izzatika, la ilāha illa ant, an tudillani. Anta al-hayyu alladhi la yamūt, wal-jinnu wal-insu yamūtūn. (O Allah, I surrender to You, I believe in You, I rely upon You, to You I repent, and with Your help I dispute. I seek refuge in Your Might. There is no god but You, that You do not lead me astray. You are the Ever-Living Who never dies, but the Jinn and humans die)

99- Allāhumma inni as’aluka al-huda wa at-tuqa wa al-‘afāf wa al-ghina (O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency)

100- Whoever says: Subhānallāh al-‘azhīm wa bihamdih (Glory be to Allah the Most Great and praise is due to Him), a date palm will be planted for him in Paradise
