1- "The best dhikr is lā ilāha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah), and the best supplication is Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah)."

2- "The nearest a slave to his Lord is while he is prostrating, so increase supplication."

4- "There are two words that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and dear to the Most Merciful*: subhān Allah al-‘azhīm (glory be to Allah, the Majestic), subhān Allah wa bihamdih (glory and praise be to Allah)."

6- "To say 'subhān Allah wa al-hamdulillāh wa lā ilāha illa Allah wa Allāhu akbar (Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Most Great)' is more beloved to me than everything upon which the sun rises."

7- "Whoever recites the last two verses of Sūrat al-Baqarah at a night, they will suffice him."

8- "Purity is half of faith, al-hamdulillāh (praise be to Allah) fills the Scale, and subhān Allah wa al-hamdulillāh (glory and praise be to Allah) fills what is between the heavens and the earth.* Prayer is light, charity is proof, patience is radiance, and the Qur’an is an argument either for you or against you. Every person goes out in the morning and sells his soul; he either saves it from doom or throws it into destruction."

9- I said: "O Messenger of Allah, teach me something that I may ask Allah Almighty for." He said: "Ask Allah for safety." After some days, I went to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, teach me something that I may ask Allah for." He said to me: @"O ‘Abbās, O uncle of the Messenger of Allah, ask Allah for safety in this life and the Hereafter."

12- Do not supplicate against yourselves, do not supplicate against your children, and do not supplicate against your property, lest you do it at a time in which Allah answers all supplications so you will be granted what you asked for

13- Your supplication is answered as long as one of you is not in haste, saying: I have supplicated to my Lord, but He has not yet answered me

14- "The nearest the Lord to a servant is in the course of the last part of the night*. So, if you are able to be among those who remember Allah at that hour, do so."

15- Whoever says (upon leaving his house) "In the name of Allah; I rely on Allah; there is no might and no power save in Allah", it will be said to him: "You are guided, sufficed, and protected", and the devil will go far away from him

17- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, says: @I am as My slave thinks of Me and I am with him when he remembers Me*. If he remembers Me within himself, I remember him within Myself; and if he remembers me in an assembly, I remember him in a better assembly. If he draws near to Me by a handspan, I draw near to him by a cubit; and if he draws near to Me by a cubit, I draw near to him by a fathom, and if he comes to Me walking, I come to him jogging."

19- "The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember His Lord is like the example of the living and the dead person."* The wording of Muslim reads: "The example of the house in which Allah is remembered and the house in which Allah is not remembered is like the example of the living and the dead person."

21- By Allah! I ask Allah for forgiveness and repent to Him more than seventy times a day

22- "The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned, but he does not invoke Allah's blessings upon me."

23- "Whoever eats food and says 'Alhamdulillah al-ladhi at‘amani hadha wa razaqneih min ghayri hawl li wala quwwah (Praise be to Allah who fed me and provided me with this food through no might or power on my part)', his past sins will be forgiven."

24- "Supplication between the Adhān (call to prayer) and the Iqāmah (second call to prayer) is not rejected."

25- "O Allah, set right for me my religion that is the safeguard of my affairs*, and set right for me my world wherein my living is, and set right for me my Hereafter wherein my return is, and make life an increase for me in every good, and make death a relief for me from every evil."

27- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) never abandoned these supplications in the evening and the morning: @"O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter*. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly life, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my imperfection—or  my imperfections—and secure my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge with Your greatness from being suddenly killed from beneath me."

29- "O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the removal of Your favor, the change of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your calamity, and all of Your wrath."

30- "O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the dominance of debt, the dominance of the enemy, and the gloat of the enemies."

31- Upon reaching the morning, he used to say: @"O Allah, by You we have reached the morning, and by You we have reached the evening; by You we live, and by You we die, and to You is the Resurrection."* Upon reaching the evening, he would say: "By You we have reached the evening, and by You we have reached the morning, by You we live, and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection." He said: And another time: "And to You is the final destination.".

33- "The best way of seeking Allah's forgiveness* is to say: 'Allāhumma anta rabbi la ilāha illa ant khalaqtani wa ana ‘abduk wa ana ‘ala ‘ahdika wa wa‘dika mastata‘t a‘ūdhu bika min sharri ma sana‘t abū’u laka bini‘matika ‘alayya wa abū’u bidhanbi faghfir li fa innahu la yaghfiru adh-dhunūba illa ant (O Allah, You are my Lord. You created me, and I am Your slave. I will remain faithful to Your covenant and promise as much as possible. I seek refuge with You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I admit my sin. So, forgive me. Indeed, none can forgive sins but You).'" He (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) added: "And whoever says this during the day while being certain of its meaning, then he dies before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise, and whoever says it at night while being certain of its meaning then he dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."

34- Whenever the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) went to his bed, he would blow into his hands, recite the Mu‘awwidhāt, and then pass his hands over his body

35- Praise be to Allah Who gave us food and drink, provided for us sufficiently, and gave us shelter, for how many there are who have no one to provide for them or to give them shelter

36- There are three supplications that will undoubtedly be answered: the supplication of the oppressed

37- "Say: O Allah, guide me and make me adhere to the straight path, and when asking for Huda (guidance), think of your being guided to the right path, and Sadād (adherence to the straight path) is the straightness of the arrow."

38- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from leucoderma, insanity, leprosy, and evil diseases

43- I said: O Messenger of Allah, teach me a supplication. He said: Say O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, from the evil of my sight, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of my semen

46- O Allah, I ask You for its good and the good of what is in it and the good of the purpose for which it was sent; and I seek Your refuge from its evil and the evil of what is in it and the evil of the purpose for which it was sent

47- The wind is from the blessings of Allah. It brings mercy, and it brings punishment. When you see it, do not swear at it, but ask Allah for its goodness and seek Allah's refuge from its evil

48- Those privies are attended by the devils, so if anyone of you goes to a privy, let him say: I seek refuge with Allah from the male and female devils

49- They spoke the truth. They are tormented, and their torment can be heard by all animals

54- In the evening, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: The evening has reached, and all the dominion belongs to Allah and praise be to Allah. There is no god but Allah, alone with no partner.

55- Recite frequently: Yādha al-jalāl wa al-ikrām (O Possessor of Majesty and Bounty)

56- A man came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I intend to go on a journey, so give me provision. He said: May Allah grant you piety as your provision

57- There is an hour at night that no Muslim happens to be asking Allah, the Almighty, any good of this world or the Hereafter except that He will give it to him, and this occurs every night

58- As we were with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), he asked: @"Is anyone of you unable to earn a thousand good deeds every day?"* One of those present asked: How can one earn a thousand good deeds? He replied: "He glorifies Allah a hundred times, a thousand good deeds will be recorded for him, or a thousand sins will be erased from his record."

59- Whenever the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) finished eating, he would say: Allah be praised with an abundant, sincere, and blessed praise. O our Lord, You are not in need of anyone, and we cannot do without Your favor nor dispense with it

60- O Allah, You are my Supporter and my Helper. With Your help I get strength, and with Your help I pounce upon the enemy and defeat it, and with Your help I fight

61- Two supplications are never rejected, or are rarely rejected: supplication made upon hearing the call to prayer and during battle when the two armies are engaged in fighting

62- A mount was brought to ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) to ride on, and when he put his foot in the stirrup, he said: In the name of Allah

63- "Allāhumma inni a‘ūdhu bika min munkarāti al-akhlāqi wal-a‘māli wal-ahwā’ (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from evil morals, deeds, and desires)."

64- O Allah, we ask You to ward them off (from their throats), and we seek Your protection against their evil

65- The lasting good deeds are the statements: There is no god but Allah, glory be to Allah, Allah is the greatest, praise be to Allah, there is no power or might except with Allah

66- O Allah, I ask You by virtue of my testimony that You are Allah; there is no God but You, the One, the Eternal Refuge, Who did not beget, and was not begotten, and to Whom no one is equal

67- O Allah, just as You made my external form beautiful, make my character beautiful as well

69- O Allah, I seek refuge in You from hunger, for it is an evil bed-fellow, and I seek refuge in You from treachery, for it is an evil hidden trait

70- "Say: Allāhumma ikfini bihalālika ‘an harāmik waghnini bifadlika ‘amman siwāk (O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful against what You have made unlawful, and make me with Your bounty in no need of anyone besides You).".

71- O Allah, I seek refuge with You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, senility, and miserliness. And I seek refuge with You from the torment of the grave. And I seek refuge with You from the trials of life and death

72- When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) traveled, he would seek refuge from the hardships of the journey, from having a change of heart, adverse conditions replacing good ones, the prayer of an oppressed person, and from seeing a misfortune occurring to his family and wealth

73- Whenever the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) mounted his camel while setting out on a journey, he would say Takbīr three times and then say: Glory be to the One who subdued this (ride) for us and we were not ourselves powerful enough to use it as a ride, and to our Lord we shall, indeed, return

74- When any one of you goes to his bed, let him dust off his bed with the end of his lower garment, for indeed he does not know what came unto it after he had left it

75- Seek refuge with Allah from arduous afflictions, degrading misery, preordained evils, and from the gloating of enemies

76- O Allah, verily I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Fire, the torment of the Fire, and from the evil of affluence and poverty

77- Fear Allah and say "Allah is the Greatest" upon every elevated place

78- On sighting the new moon, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would say: O Allah, let this new moon appear on us with security and faith

79- When one-third of the night had passed, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would get up and call out: O people, remember Allah

80- When we ascended (a high land), we used to say Takbīr, and when we descended, we used to say Tasbīh

81- Whoever says "there is no god but Allah, and Allah is Greatest," his Lord affirms it, saying: There is no god but Me, and I am Greatest

82- Abu Sālih used to order us that if anyone of us wanted to sleep, he should lie on his right side

83- The devil said: By Your Might O Lord, I will continue to misguide Your slaves as long as their souls remain in their bodies. The Lord said: By My Might and My Majesty, I will continue to forgive them as long as they seek forgiveness from Me

84- Beware of the invocations of the oppressed person, for, indeed, they rise to heaven as if they were sparks of fire

85- May the fasting people break their fast in your house, and may the righteous eat your food, and may the angels ask forgiveness and mercy for you

86- If anyone says "I ask forgiveness from Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence, and I turn to Him in repentance," his sins will be forgiven even if he has fled from the battlefield

87- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) invoked evil on the tribe of Banu Sulaym for one month after rising from Rukū‘ in prayer

88- O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my hearing, light on my right, light on my left, light above me, light below me, light in front of me, light behind me, make light for me

89- These are the signs which Allah sends, not on account of the death of anyone or life of any one, but Allah sends them to frighten His servants thereby. So when you see any such thing, hasten to remember Him, supplicate Him, and beg pardon from Him

90- O Allah, cure Sa‘d, O Allah, cure Sa‘d

91- O Allah, save ʿAyyāsh ibn Abu Rabīʿah. O Allah, save Salamah ibn Hishām. O Allah, save Al-Walīd ibn al-Walīd. O Allah, save the oppressed believers. O Allah, be hard on [the tribe of] Mudar. O Allah, afflict them with years of famine and drought like the years of Yūsuf (Joseph)

92- My Lord, support me and do not support others against me; grant me victory and do not grant others victory over me; plan for me and do not plan against me; guide me and make my guidance easy for me; grant me victory against whoever wronged me

93- O Allah, to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed, in You I have put my trust, to You I have turned in repentance, and for You I have argued. O Allah, I seek refuge with Your power, there is no god but You, that You lead me astray. You are the Ever Living, the One who never dies, whereas the human beings and jinn will all die

94- How can I be at ease when the one with the trumpet has put his lips to the trumpet waiting to hear the order to blow it?

95- O Allah, forgive my past and future sins, and my secret and open sins

97- "Allāhumma inni as’aluka al-huda wa at-tuqa wa al-‘afāf wa al-ghina (O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency)."
