1- Islam is built on five

2- Whoever introduces something into this matter of ours that is not part of it will have it rejected

3- If I were to pray the obligatory prayers, fast Ramadan, adopt the lawful, as lawful and adopt the unlawful as unlawful

4- You have asked about something grave, but it is easy for whomever Allah makes it easy for

5- None of you (truly) believes until his personal desire complies with what I have come with

6- “There are four (traits); whoever has them is a sheer hypocrite, and whoever has one trait of them has one of the traits of hypocrisy until he gives it up: whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous; whenever he makes a promise, he breaks it; and whenever he is in a dispute, he behaves in a shameless immoral manner

7- O Allah, do not make my grave an idol that is worshiped

8- 'Whoever swears by other than Allah has disbelieved or associated partners with Allah.'

9- The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are the ‘Ishā’ and Fajr prayers. If they were to know the virtue of them, they would come to them, even if they had to crawl

10- The thing that I fear most for you is minor Shirk (polytheism).' They said: 'What is minor Shirk, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'It is Riyā’

11- Don't they forbid what Allah allows, so you forbid it? Don't they allow what Allah forbids, so you allow it? I said: Yes. He said: That is how you worship them

12- You will come to a people of the Scripture. When you reach them, invite them to testify that none is worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah

13- When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the 'Nushrah' (counteracting magic by magic), he said: It is an act of the devil

14- Whoever is prevented from doing something because of his belief in bad omens has thus committed polytheism. They said: What is the expiation of that? He said: It is to say: "O Allah, there is no good except Your good, nor omen except Your omen, and there is no god but You

15- Whoever meets Allah without associating partners with Him will enter Paradise, and whoever meets Him while associating partners with Him will enter Hellfire

16- Allah's statement: {And said: Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwā‘ or Yaghūth and Ya‘ūq and Nasr} [Sūrat Nūh: 23]. Ibn ‘Abbās said: These are names of some pious men of the people of Nūh (Noah)

17- Whoever introduces into this matter of ours (Islam) something that does not belong to it shall have it rejected

18- He is not one of us who seeks bad omens or has it done for him, or who practices soothsaying or has it done for him, or who practices sorcery or has it done for him

19- Whoever goes to a soothsayer and asks him about something and believes him, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights

20- Whoever acquires a branch of the knowledge of astrology acquires a branch of magic, of which he acquires more as long as he continues to do so

21- Faith has over seventy branches - or over sixty branches - the most excellent of which is the declaration that 'lā ilāha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah)', and the lowest of which is the removal of what is harmful from the way

22- That is a word pertaining to the truth which a jinn snatches and whispers into his friend's ears as a hen does. Then, they mix it with more than a hundred lies

23- Islam is built on five

24- Whoever of you sees something evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able, then with his tongue; and if he is not able, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith

25- He who does good in Islam will not be punished for what he did during jāhiliyyah, and he who commits evil in Islam will be punished for the previous and later deeds

26- Do you think that if I perform the obligatory payers, fast Ramadan, treat the lawful as lawful, and treat the unlawful as unlawful,

27- Purity is half of faith, al-hamdulillāh (praise be to Allah) fills the Scale, and subhān Allah wa al-hamdulillāh (glory and praise be to Allah) fills what is between the heavens and the earth

28- What stands between a man and polytheism and disbelief is the abandonment of the prayers

29- The covenant between us and them is prayer; so, whoever abandons it has disbelieved

30- Hasten to deeds before being overtaken by tribulations that are like patches of the darkest night;

31- Allah's statement: {So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know} [Sūrat al-Baqarah: 22]. Ibn ‘Abbās commented: Equals are polytheism. It is subtler than the crawling of a small black ant on a black stone in the darkness of the night

32- Whoever calls to guidance shall receive a reward similar to the rewards obtained by those who followed him without diminishing anything from their rewards

33- Tiyarah (belief in evil omens) is Shirk (polytheism). Tiyarah is Shirk. Tiyarah is Shirk - three times." Every one of us experiences something of that, but Allah Almighty dispels it with reliance on Him

34- O people, beware of immoderation in religion, for those before you were doomed because of immoderation in religion

35- There is no contagion, nor is there any evil omen in birds, nor is there any evil omen in the owl, nor is there any evil omen in Safar, and run away from the leper as you would run away from the lion

36- No one can undo the magic except a magician

37- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said about the Ansār (Supporters): "No one loves them except a believer, and no one hates them except a hypocrite. Allah loves whoever loves them and hates whoever hates them

38- No prophet had been sent before me by Allah except that he had disciples and companions from his nation who adhered to his way and followed his command

39- He will succeed if he proves to be truthful

40- I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establish prayer, and pay Zakah

41- You have asked me about a great matter, which is, indeed, easy for whomever Allah makes it easy

42- Do not kill him, for if you kill him, he will be in the same position as yours before you kill him, and you will be in the same position as his before saying the word that he said

43- O Usāmah, you killed him after he had said "there is no god but Allah"?

44- The believers, in their mutual love, compassion, and sympathy, are like a single body; if one of its organs suffers, the whole body will respond with sleeplessness and fever

45- He is not one of us who slaps the cheeks, splits the collars, and calls out with the calls of Jāhiliyyah (pre-Islamic era of ignorance)

46- A person who attributes his fatherhood to anyone other than his real father, knowing that he is not his father, commits an act of disbelief. And he who makes a claim of anything which in fact does not belong to him, is none of us, and he should make his abode in Hell. And he who labels anyone as disbeliever or calls him the enemy of Allah while he is in fact not so, his charge will revert to him

47- There are two things in people that are signs of disbelief: defaming lineages and wailing over the dead

48- Our Lord will reveal His Shin, and then all believers, men and women, will prostrate themselves before Him, but there will remain those who used to prostrate in the worldly life for showing off and gaining good reputation. Such people will try to prostrate (in that situation) but their backs will be as stiff as if it is one bone

49- No man accuses another man of defiant disobedience or accuses him of disbelief except that it rebounds on him if his companion is not like that

50- Whoever incites a woman against her husband or a slave against his master is not one of us

51- Whoever swears by the Amānah (trust) is not one of us

52- A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand Muslims are safe, and a Muhājir (emigrant) is the one who abandons what Allah has forbidden

53- for he did not ever say: My Lord, forgive my sins on the Day of Judgment

54- Do you know what your Lord has said?" They replied: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "He has said: 'Some of My servants have entered the morning as believers in Me and some as disbelievers

55- We find within ourselves thoughts that one of us would find too grave to talk about." He said: "Have you experienced that?" They said: 'Yes'. He said: "That is the clear faith

56- Satan comes to one of you and says, 'Who created such and such, and who created such and such', until he says: 'Who created your Lord?' If a person experiences this, he should seek refuge with Allah and desist from that

57- Allah does not wrong a believer in a good deed; he will be given on account of it in this world and will be rewarded for it in the Hereafter

58- You have embraced Islam along with your past good deeds

59- The hypocrite is like a ewe which goes to and fro between two flocks: going once to one and another time to the other

60- Verily, faith wears out within one of you as a shirt becomes worn out; so, ask Allah to renew faith in your hearts

61- I will be at the Cistern so that I see who among you will come to me. But some people will be barred from reaching me. Thereupon, I will say: 'O Lord, they belong to me and my Ummah

62- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) related to us, and he is the truthful and the trusted one; he said: "The creation of each one of you is brought together in his mother's womb for forty days and forty nights

63- I am Dimām ibn Tha‘labah, from the brothers of Banu Sa‘d ibn Bakr

64- The Jews incurred Allah's wrath, and the Christians went astray

65- Say 'there is no god but Allah', and I will testify for you by it on the Day of Judgment

66- What you say and invite people to is indeed good. If only you could tell us whether there is an expiation for what we did

67- He finds the taste of Imān who is pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad as Messenger

68- “There are four (traits); whoever has them is a sheer hypocrite, and whoever has one trait of them has one of the traits of hypocrisy until he gives it up: whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous; whenever he makes a promise, he breaks it; and whenever he is in a dispute, he behaves in a shameless immoral manner

69- Whosoever introduces a good practice in Islam, there is for him its reward and the reward of those who act upon it after him without anything being diminished from their rewards. And whosoever introduces an evil practice in Islam will shoulder its sin and the sins of all those who will act upon it, without diminishing in any way their burden

70- When the verse of charity was revealed, we would carry loads on our backs. A man came and gave so much in charity, so they said: He is showing off. Another man came and gave a Sā‘ in charity, so they said: Allah is no need for the Sā‘ of that one. Then it was revealed: {Those who criticize the contributors among the believers concerning [their] charities and [criticize] the ones who find nothing [to spend] except their effort}

71- ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote: Kill every sorcerer and sorceress

72- When we enter upon our rulers, we say to them things contrary to what we say when we leave them. He said: We used to consider this hypocrisy during the Prophet's lifetime

73- Verily, what I fear for you is a man who recites the Qur’an until its brightness appears on him and he becomes a support of Islam. (This continues) until this man changes his state to what Allah wills. He detaches himself from it and throws it behind his back. Then he starts attacking his neighbor with the sword, accusing him of polytheism

74- We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) while we were young men close to maturity. We learned Imān (faith) before we learned the Qur’an; then we learned the Qur’an, and it increased us in faith

75- Whoever performs our prayer, faces our Qiblah (direction of the Ka‘bah), and eats from our slaughtered animals—that is the Muslim who enjoys the protection (covenant) of Allah and His Messenger. So do not betray Allah by violating His protection

76- At the end of time, there will come a people, young in age and foolish in mind. They will speak about the best words of creation, but they will pass through Islam as an arrow passes through its target

77- We set out with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) on one of his travels, and on the way the provisions became very scarce

78- I do not think that so-and-so and so-and-so know anything about our religion

79- The majority of the hypocrites of this Ummah are its reciters

80- Beware! Every object of pride of the pre-Islamic times, whether it is blood-vengeance or property, or mentioned or claimed, has been put under my feet, except the supply of water to pilgrims and the custody of the House

81- Go back, for I will not seek help from a polytheist

82- Faith has over seventy branches or over sixty branches, the most excellent of which is the declaration that there is no god but Allah, and the lowest of which is the removal of what is harmful from the path; and modesty is a branch of faith

83- Whoever carries weapons against us is not one of us

84- Any person who says to his brother: O disbeliever, it will, indeed, fall upon one of them; if he is as he said, or else it will return to him
