1- Whoever performs Hajj without engaging in rafath (sexual relations or obscene speech) or sinning will return like the day his mother gave birth to him

2- No prayer should be offered in the presence of food or when he is resisting the need to relieve himself of the two filths

3- If you say to your companion 'listen' on Friday while the Imām is delivering the sermon, you have thus engaged in idle talk

4- Five are acts of Fitrah (natural disposition): circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, trimming the mustache, clipping the nails, and plucking the armpit hair

5- Trim the mustaches and let the beards grow

6- If anyone performs ablution like this ablution of mine and offers two Rak'ahs during which he does not think of anything else, Allah will forgive his past sins

7- O Allah, do not make my grave an idol that is worshiped

8- The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are the ‘Ishā’ and Fajr prayers. If they were to know the virtue of them, they would come to them, even if they had to crawl

9- Allah does not accept the prayer of any of you who is in the state of Hadath (minor ritual impurity) until he performs ablution

10- The tooth-stick purifies the mouth and pleases the Lord

11- The five (daily) prayers, Friday prayer to the next Friday prayer, and Ramadan to the next Ramadan are expiation of the sins committed between them, so long as major sins are avoided

12- Whoever fasts Ramadan, out of faith and in pursuit of reward, his past sins will be forgiven

13- Whoever performs Qiyām (night prayer) in the Night of Decree, out of faith and in pursuit of reward, his past sins will be forgiven

14- Do not curse the dead, for they have reached the result of what they have done

15- Whoever performs the Fajr prayer is under the protection of Allah

16- Charity does not diminish wealth, and Allah does not increase a servant, on account of his forgiveness, except in honor, and no one humbles himself seeking the pleasure of Allah except that Allah will elevate him

17- Allah said: 'O son of Adam, spend, and I will spend on you.'

18- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to celebrate Allah’s oneness with these words after every prayer

19- There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than on these days," referring to the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah

20- Whoever abandons the ‘Asr prayer, his deeds will be rendered worthless

21- Whoever performs ablution perfectly, his sins will come out from his body, to the extent that it will come out from under his nails

22- Beware of (smearing yourselves with) urine, because it is the main cause of punishment in the grave

23- Do not sit on graves, and do not pray towards them

24- Those are a people who, when a righteous slave or a righteous man from among them dies, they build a place of worship

25- I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones

26- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say between the two prostrations: "Allahumma ighfir li warhamni wa ‘āfeni wahdeni warzuqni (O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me safety, guide me, and provide for me)

27- Allahumma anta as-salām wa minka as-salām, tabārakta yadha al-jalāl wa al-ikrām

28- Pray while standing; if you cannot, then while sitting; and if you cannot, then while lying on your side

29- Do you hear the Adhān?" He replied in the affirmative. Thereupon, he said: "Then respond to it

30- When one of you joins the prayer and finds the Imām in a certain position, he should do what the Imām is doing

31- Whoever kills a mu‘āhad (a non-Muslim who is granted the pledge of protection by the Muslims) shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fragrance can be smelt at a distance of forty years

32- Islam is built on five

33- Do you think that if I perform the obligatory payers, fast Ramadan, treat the lawful as lawful, and treat the unlawful as unlawful,

34- Purity is half of faith, al-hamdulillāh (praise be to Allah) fills the Scale, and subhān Allah wa al-hamdulillāh (glory and praise be to Allah) fills what is between the heavens and the earth

35- Beware of negnot washing your heels properly, for not doing so can lead to them being burnt in the Hellfire! So, perform your ablution thoroughly

36- When the Muezzin (the caller to prayer) says, 'Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar

37- Whoever forgets a prayer should perform it as soon as he remembers it; there is no expiation for it except that

38- What stands between a man and polytheism and disbelief is the abandonment of the prayers

39- The covenant between us and them is prayer; so, whoever abandons it has disbelieved

40- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to observe I‘tikāf [spiritual retirement in the mosque] during each Ramadan for ten days. The year in which he died, he observed I‘tikāf for twenty days.

41- that a woman was found killed in one of the expeditions of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), and so the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) denounced killing women and boys

42- Whoever fights so that the word of Allah be supreme is indeed in the cause of Allah

43- When you hear the Adhan (call to prayer), repeat what the Muezzin says

44- Leave them, for I had put them on when they were in the state of purity

45- this is a vein. Abstain from prayer only for a number of days similar to those of your normal menses; then, take a ritual bath and pray

46- Straighten your rows, for indeed, straightening the row is from the perfection of the prayer

47- When any of you performs ablution, let him sniff water in his nose and then blow it out. Whoever cleans his private parts with stones, let him do so with an odd number of stones

48- I memorized from the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ten Rak‘ahs (units of prayer)

49- When the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) got up at night, he would cleanse his mouth with Siwak (tooth-stick)

50- A complaint was made to the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) about the person who doubts that something has happened to him during his prayer. He said: He should not leave (his prayer) unless he hears a sound or perceives a smell

51- If the Iqāmah for prayer is proclaimed, and the dinner is served, start with the dinner

52- When you go to a place to relieve yourselves, do not face or turn your back to the Qiblah (prayer direction); rather, turn towards the east or the west

53- None of you should hold his penis with his right hand while urinating, nor wipe himself after answering the call of nature using his right hand, nor breathe into the vessel

54- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade praying after the Fajr prayer up until the sun rises, and after the ‘Asr prayer until the sun sets

55- Is he who raises his head before the Imam not afraid that Allah may transform his head into that of a donkey or his shape into that of a donkey?

56- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to raise his hands in line with his shoulders when commencing the prayer,

57- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) taught me the Tashahhud, with my hand between his two hands, as he would teach me a Surah from the Qur’an

58- Allāuhumma inni a‘ūdhu bika min ‘adhāb al-qabr, wa min ‘adhāb an-nār, wa min fitnat al-mahya wa al-mamāt, wa min fitnat al-masīh ad-dajjāl

59- Allāhumma bā‘id bayni wa bayna khatāyāy kama bā‘dta bayna al-mashriqi wa al-maghrib

60- Be moderate in prostration, and let none of you spread his forearms on the ground like a dog

61- I asked Anas ibn Mālik: Did the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) use to pray with his shoes on? He said: Yes!

62- When a dog drinks from the vessel of any of you, let him wash it seven times

63- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say before entering the bathroom: "Allāhumma inni a‘ūdhu bika min al-khubuth wa al-khabā’ith (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female devils)

64- Whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah will make him reach the status of martyrs even if he dies on his bed

65- People were commanded to make (Tawāf around) the Ka‘bah the last thing they do, but an exception was made for the menstruating woman

66- Manner of performing Ghusl (ritual bath) from Janābah (major ritual impurity)

67- On taking a ritual bath from Janābah (major ritual impurity), the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to wash his hands and perform ablution like that for prayer, then wash himself

68- Do not take my grave as a place of festivity (which you visit repeatedly), and do not take your houses as graves. Send blessings upon me, for your greeting will reach me no matter where you are

69- I was a man of frequent discharge of Madhi (pre-seminal fluid) and I was too shy to ask the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about it given his daughter's status. So, I asked Al-Miqdād ibn al-Aswad to ask him and he did. Thereupon, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Let him wash his penis and perform ablution

70- When you put on clothes and when you perform ablution, you should begin with your right side

71- Which deed is dearest to Allah? He said: "Offering prayer at its earliest appointed time." I said: Then, what comes next? He said: "Dutifulness to one's parents." I said: Then, what comes next? He said: "Jihad in the way of Allah

72- There is no day wherein the slaves reach the morning except that two angels descend. One of them says: O Allah, give the spender compensation; whereas the other one says: O Allah, give the withholder damage

73- Whoever equips a fighter in the cause of Allah has indeed taken part in the fight himself; and whoever looks after the dependents of a fighter in his absence properly has indeed taken part in the fight himself

74- and performed ablution like that of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) in front of them

75- Are you not aware that Islam wipes out all (sins) that preceded it, and that Hijrah wipes out all (sins) that preceded it, and that Hajj wipes out all (sins) that preceded it?

76- I came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) while he was cleansing his mouth with a ripe tooth-stick. The edge of the tooth-stick was on his tongue and he was making a sound like: “ugh, ugh” as if he was heaving, and the tooth-stick was in his mouth

77- It was sufficient for you to do this with your hands." Then, he struck the ground once with his hands, then wiped the right hand with the left one, the back side of his hands and his face

78- No prophet had been sent before me by Allah except that he had disciples and companions from his nation who adhered to his way and followed his command

79- A man, who was set for travel, asked the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him): Which type of Jihad is better? He replied: A word of truth said to a despotic ruler

80- I gave the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) a pledge to testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, to establish the prayer, to pay Zakah, to hear and obey, and to give sincere advice to every Muslim

81- never fail to say after each prayer: Allāhumma a‘inni ‘ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni ‘ibādatik (O Allah, help me remember You, thank You, and excellently worship You)

82- Woe to the heel bones from the Hellfire

83- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) delayed the ‘Ishā' prayer until part of the night had passed and it was dark. ‘Umar came to him saying: O Messenger of Allah, come to pray, the women and children have slept. He came out with his head dripping with water and said: Had it not been hard for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to perform that prayer at this hour

84- Allah said: All the deeds of the son of Adam are for himself except for fasting, as it is, indeed, for Me, and I give reward for it

85- Wake up ‘Āʾishah and pray Witr

86- O Allah, I seek refuge with Your pleasure from Your wrath, and with Your pardon from Your punishment, and I seek refuge with You from You. I cannot enumerate praise of you; You are as You have praised Yourself

87- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: Which part of the prayer is the best? He replied: The long standing

88- I asked 'Ā'ishah, saying: What did the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) use to start with upon entering his house? She said: With the Siwāk (toothstick)

89- It was mentioned before the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about a man who slept throughout the night until morning. He said, "That is a man in whose ears—or, he said, in whose ear—the devil urinated

90- Ten practices are part of the Fitrah: Trimming the mustache, letting the beard grow, using the tooth-stick, rinsing the nose, trimming the nails, washing the finger joints, plucking the armpit hair, shaving the pubic hair, and washing the private parts with water

91- When any of you sleeps, the devil ties three knots at the back of his head, striking each knot: Ahead of you is a long night, so keep sleeping

92- Make frequent prostrations to Allah, for you do not make a single prostration to Allah except that Allah raises you one degree therewith and remits one sin from you therewith

93- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to strive during the last ten more than he would strive at any other time

94- We used to prepare for the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) his tooth-stick and the water he used for making ablution. Then, Allah would awaken him whenever He willed during the night, and he would brush his teeth with the tooth-stick, make ablution, and perform prayer

95- Anyone whose feet get covered with dust in the cause of Allah will not be touched by the Fire

96- The martyr feels nothing from the agony of death except as one of you feels from the sting of an ant

97- Whoever prays the Bardayn (Fajr and ‘Asr prayers) will enter Paradise

98- If I am killed for the cause of Allah, will my sins be forgiven?

99- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to sleep at the beginning of the night and rise at its end to pray

100- None of you should fast on Friday, unless he fasts a day before it or a day after it

101- There is no emigration after the Conquest, but there is Jihad and good intention, and whenever you are called for Jihad, you should immediately respond to the call

102- A man asked the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about fasting while traveling. He answered: If you wish then fast, and if you wish then do not fast

103- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would sometimes get up at the time of Fajr while in a state of Janābah after having sexual intercourse with his wives, then he would take a ritual bath and fast

104- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting the two days: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Ad'ha; wearing a garment that is void of openings for hands; sitting on one’s buttocks while holding his both legs pulled back with his arms in case he wore only one garment; and praying after the Fajr and ‘Asr prayers

105- My close friend (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) advised me with three: fasting three days of every month, the two Rak‘ahs of Duha, and performing Witr before I sleep

106- When the night approaches from this side, and the day retreats from that side, then it is time for the fasting person to break his fast

107- Zakah is not due on what is less than five ounces, nor on what is less than five camels, nor on what is less than five Wasqs

108- O Messenger of Allah, I had vowed, before embracing Islam, to make I‘tikāf for one night – another narration reads: for one day – the Sacred Mosque. He said: Then fulfill your vow.

109- Fast when you see it, and break the fast when you see it, but if the sky is overcast and you cannot see it, then act on estimation

110- A man's prayer in congregation is twenty-something degrees higher than his prayer in his house and market

111- When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) missed prayer at night because of sickness or otherwise, he would pray twelve Rak‘ahs during the daytime

112- Whoever ate garlic or onion should keep away from us—or he said: from our mosque—and stay at home."

113- "He is in Hellfire." The people then went to look at him and found in his place a cloak which he had stolen from the war booty

114- What if there was a river at the door of any of you wherein he takes a bath five times a day? Would there remain any of his filth?

115- We used to speak during prayer; a man would talk with his companion at his side in the prayer until [this verse] was revealed: {...And stand before Allah in devout obedience.} So we were commanded to keep silent, such that we were forbidden to talk

116- A solar eclipse occurred during the Prophet's lifetime and he sent someone to summon people for a congregational prayer. They gathered and he came forward and began the prayer by making Takbīr. He bowed four times and prostrated four times in two Rak‘ahs

117- At every part of the night, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prayed Witr: at its beginning, middle, and end. Finally he settled on performing Witr just before dawn

118- Command your children to pray when they are seven years old, and beat them for (not offering) it when they are ten, and separate them (boys and girls) in beds

119- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us, and we said: O Messenger of Allah, we have learned how to greet you, but how should we invoke the blessings of Allah upon you?

120- The prayer of the one who did not recite the Opening of the Book (Surat al-Fātihah) is invalid

121- Whoever takes a bath on Friday, like the bath taken from sexual impurity, and then goes (to the mosque) is like the one who offers a camel as a sacrifice

122- 'Whoever of you comes to attend the Friday prayer, let him take a shower

123- Whoever attends a funeral until he offers the funeral prayer will get a reward equal to one Qirāt; and whoever attends it until the dead person is buried will get a reward equal to two Qirāts. It was asked: What are the two Qirāts? He replied: Like two huge mountains

124- He who performs ablution properly and then comes to the Friday prayer and listens to it attentively and keeps silent, his sins between that Friday and the following Friday will be forgiven, with the addition of three more days

125- Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning or the evening, Allah has prepared an abode for him in Paradise every time he goes in the morning or the evening

126- Whoever passes through any of our mosques or markets with arrows with him, he should hold them by their heads lest he injures any of the Muslims with them

127- O people, spread the greeting of peace, feed others, maintain kinship ties, and pray at night when people are asleep, and you will enter Paradise in peace

128- O Messenger of Allah, who is the best among people?

129- When the Imām says amen, you too say amen, for whoever says amen at the same time the angels say amen will have his previous sins forgiven

130- He who gives in charity the value of a date which was lawfully earned, and Allah only accepts that which has been lawfully earned, then Allah will accept it with His right hand and nurture it for him, just as one of you nurtures his foal, until it becomes like a mountain

131- Those who can afford marriage should marry, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity. He who cannot afford it should fast, for indeed it serves as a restraint for him

132- If any of you leads the people in prayer, let him shorten it, because among them are the weak, the sick, and the busy. If any of you prays alone, then let him prolong (his prayer) as much as he wishes

133- Whenever the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) appointed a man to lead an army or a military detachment, he would advise him to fear Allah and treat well those Muslims who are with him

134- The Imām is appointed so that he should be followed; so, do not act differently from him. When he makes Takbīr all of you should say it after him; bow when he bows; say "O our Lord, all praise be to You" when he says: Allah hears the one who praises Him; prostrate when he prostates; and all of you should pray sitting when he prays sitting

135- The difference between our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book is the Suhūr meal

136- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he used to be more generous than ever in Ramadan when Gabriel (Jibrīl) would meet him

137- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would not fast in any month more than he did in Sha‘bān

138- He who prays before sunrise and before sunset will not enter Hellfire

139- If I were to live till the next year, I would definitely fast the ninth day

140- No Muslim person who, when an obligatory prayer becomes due, perfects its ablution, humility, and bowing except that it becomes an expiation for the sins that preceded it as long as he has not committed a major sin, and this applies to all times

141- There are certain things, the sayer of which – or the performer of which – after every prescribed prayer will never be disappointed: Tasbīh (saying 'Subhānallāh') thirty-three times, Tahmīd (saying 'Al-hamdulillāh') thirty-three times, and Takbīr (saying 'Allāhu Akbar') thirty-four times

142- He who feeds a fasting person will earn the same reward as him

143- Whoever says upon hearing the muezzin: 'Ash-hadu alla ilāha illallāh wahdahu la sharīka lah wa anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasūluh, radītu billāhi rabban, wa bi Muhammadin rasūlan wa bil Islāmi dīna (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone without any partner and that Muhammad is His slave and messenger. I am pleased with Allah as a Lord, with Muhammad as a messenger, and with Islam as a religion), his sins will be forgiven)

144- Madīnah is a sanctuary from ‘Ayr to Thawr (mountains). Whoever innovates something new (in religion) or shelters an innovator in it will incur the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people, and Allah will accept from him neither an obligatory nor a supererogatory prayer on the Day of Resurrection

145- Whoever learned archery then forsook it, is not one of us, or he said: he has indeed disobeyed

146- Whoever dies without having fought (in the cause of Allah) or having thought of fighting (in the cause of Allah) will die while having one of the qualities of hypocrisy

147- No owner of gold or silver who does not pay what is due on it except that on the Day of Judgment they will be made for him sheets of fire

148- There is none among you except that Allah will speak to him, with no interpreter between Him and him

149- There is no day on which Allah sets free more of His slaves from Fire than the Day of ‘Arafah. He verily draws near, then He boasts about them before the angels saying: What do these people want?

150- Its water is purifying, and its dead animals are lawful

151- If the water is two pitchers, it will bear no impurity

152- He who drinks in a vessel (made) of gold or silver has, in fact, swallowed in his stomach fire from Hell

153- Were it not that I would cause difficulty for my followers, I would command them to use the tooth-stick with every prayer

154- If any of you wakes up from his sleep, let him blow water out of his nose three times, as the devil spends the night on his nostrils

155- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was performing ablution; he rinsed his mouth thrice and blew water out of his nose thrice. He then washed his face thrice and his right and left forearms thrice, then he took more water and wiped over his head, and then he washed his feet until he cleaned them

156- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and passed a wet hand on his forelock, over the turban, and over the two leather socks

157- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to run the water around his elbows while performing ablution

158- The prayer of a person who does not perform ablution is invalid, and the ablution of a person who does not mention the name of Allah is invalid

159- A man performed ablution and left a small part on his foot equal to the size of a nail unwashed. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) saw that and said: "Go back and perform your ablution properly." He performed it again and prayed

160- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to take a ritual bath with one Sā‘ up to five Mudds, and he used to perform ablution with one Mudd

161- There is no Muslim who performs ablution well and then stands and prays two Rak‘ahs while focused on them with his heart and his face, except that Paradise will be guaranteed for him

162- I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) wiping over the top of his leather socks

163- If any of you makes ablution and puts on his leather socks, let him pray while having them on, and let him wipe over them without taking them off, if he wishes, except in the state of Janābah (major ritual impurity)

164- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) kissed some of his wives, and then went out for prayer without making ablution

165- Is it not but a piece of him

166- You praised this, so Paradise has been affirmed for him, and you dispraised this, so Hell has been affirmed for him. You are Allah's witnesses on earth

167- If you had been from this city, I would have inflicted pain on you. You raise your voices in the Prophet's Mosque

168- O people, you eat two plants that I only find offensive: onion and garlic

169- After becoming pure (from menstruation), we would not consider brownish and yellowish discharges to be of any significance

170- Wait for as long as your menstrual period normally stops you, and then take a ritual bath

171- If any of you has sexual intercourse with his wife and then wished to have intercourse again, then let him perform ablution between the two times

172- Whoever performs ablution on Friday, that is good, and whoever takes a bath has done what is better

173- Taking a bath on Friday is obligatory for every pubescent male Muslim, and cleaning the teeth with the tooth-stick and applying perfume if available

174- Beware of the two things that provoke cursing. They said: O Messenger of Allah, what are those two things which provoke cursing? He said: The one who relieves himself on people’s roads or in their shade

175- When Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained

176- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) fasted on the Day of ‘Āshūrā'

177- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to sleep while in a state of Janābah without touching water

178- When it is Friday, the angels stand at the door of the mosque and keep on writing the names of those coming in order of their arrival

179- When the son of Adam recites a verse of prostration and then falls down in prostration, the devil retreats, weeps, and says: Woe unto him, the son of Adam was commanded to prostrate, and he prostrated, so Paradise is for him. However, I was commanded to prostrate, but I refused to, so the Fire is for me

180- No woman should travel on a two-day-distant journey except with her husband or a Mahram

181- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to forbid us from praying or burying our deceased ones at three times: when the sun begins to rise until it is fully risen; when the sun is at its highest point in the sky at noon until it passes its zenith; and when the sun starts setting until it fully sets

182- Whoever says upon hearing the call: O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the prayer that is to be established, grant Muhammad Al-Wasīlah and Al-Fadīlah and resurrect him to the Praiseworthy Station that You have promised him, he will be granted my intercession on the Day of Judgment

183- Allah does not accept the prayer of any woman who has reached the age of menstruation unless [she is] veiled

184- None of you should pray in a single garment with nothing on his shoulders

185- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray on his riding animal, regardless of the direction it was facing. When he wanted to perform an obligatory prayer, he would dismount and face the Qiblah

186- When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey and wished to offer voluntary prayers, he made his she-camel face the Qiblah, said Takbīr, and then prayed towards whatever direction his mount would face

187- All of the earth is a mosque (prayer place) except the graveyard and the bathroom

188- Tasbīh is for the men, and clapping is for the women

189- If anyone of you is praying behind something that conceals him from people and somebody tries to pass in front of him, he should push him away; if he refuses, the praying person should use force against him for he is a devil

190- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade praying with one's hands on one's waist

191- When one of you stands to pray, he is privately conversing with his Lord, or his Lord is between him and the prayer direction. So let no one of you spit in the direction of prayer, but only to his left or under his feet

192- Take this curtain of yours away, for its images come to my mind while I'm praying

193- What is the matter with some people who raise their eyes towards the sky during their prayer? He went on, using a strict language: They must refrain from that action, or else their sights will certainly be snatched away

194- Yawning inside the prayer is from the devil, so if anyone of you yawns, let him suppress it as much as he can

195- Spitting in the mosque is a sin and its expiation is to bury it

196- I have not been ordered to build lofty mosques

197- Perhaps you recite behind your Imām? We said: Yes, that is so, O Messenger of Allah. He said: Do not do so except with Sūrat al-Fātihah, since the prayer is invalid for the one who does not recite it

198- When you prostrate, place your palms and raise your elbows

199- I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) praying while sitting cross-legged

200- When any of you prostrates, he should not kneel down like a camel; rather, he should put down his hands before his knees

201- Ibn ‘Umar used to put his hands down before his knees, and he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to do that

202- I prayed with the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), and he used to make Taslīm (salutation of peace ending the prayer) to his right saying: "May Allah's peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you," and to his left saying: "May Allah's peace and mercy be upon you

203- Whoever glorifies Allah directly after each prayer thirty-three times, praises Allah thirty-three times, and proclaims the greatness of Allah thirty-three times, these are ninety-nine, and completes one hundred by saying: La ilāha illallāh wahdahu la sharīka lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadīr (There is no god except Allah. He is One and has no partner with Him. To Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs praise, and He is Omnipotent over everything), his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the sea foam

204- Whoever recites the Verse of the Kursi right after each obligatory prayer will have nothing preventing him from entering Paradise except that he dies

205- They spoke the truth. They are tormented, and their torment can be heard by all animals

206- This Ummah will be tested in their graves. Were it not that you would not bury one another, I would supplicate Allah to make you hear what I hear of the torment of the grave

207- When anyone of you is in doubt about his prayer, not knowing how much he prayed, three or four, let him dispel the doubt and build upon what he is certain about, then perform two prostrations before making Taslīm

208- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray two light Rak‘ahs after the break of dawn

209- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) did not ever leave four before Zhuhr and two Rak‘ahs before morning

210- Whoever regularly observes four Rak‘ahs before Zhuhr and four after it, Allah will make him forbidden to Hellfire

211- May Allah have mercy on whoever offers four Rak‘ahs before the ‘Asr prayer

212- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) recited: {Say, “O disbelievers”} and {Say: “He is Allah, the One”} in the two Rak‘ahs of Fajr

213- (Voluntary) prayer in both the day and night is performed two by two

214- The most excellent fast after Ramadan is Allah's month, Muharram, and the most excellent prayer after what is prescribed is prayer during the night

215- O ‘Ā'ishah, indeed, my eyes sleep but my heart does not sleep

216- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer thirteen Rak‘ah in the night prayer including Witr, plus two (voluntary) Rak‘ahs of the Fajr prayer

217- Perform Witr prayer before the morning

218- If anyone fears that he will not wake up at the end of the night, let him offer Witr prayer at the beginning of the night; and anyone expects to wake up at the end of the night, let him offer Witr prayer at the end of the night. Indeed, prayer at the end of the night is witnessed (by the angels) and that is better

219- The reward of a prayer performed in congregation is twenty five times greater than that of a prayer performed by anyone of you alone. The angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at the Fajr prayer

220- Whoever hears the prayer call and does not attend the congregational prayer, then his prayer is not valid (deficient), except if he has an excuse

221- O people, pray at your homes, for a person’s best prayer is the one he performs at his home except the obligatory prayer

222- The best of the men's rows is the first, and the worst is the last, and the best of the women's rows is the last, and the worst is the first

223- The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man praying alone behind the row, so he commanded him to repeat his prayer

224- These two prayers are the most burdensome of all prayers for the hypocrites. If you knew what they contain, you would come to them, even if you had to crawl on your knees

225- There are three (people) whose actions are not recorded by the Pen: a sleeping person till he awakes, a boy till he reaches puberty, and a person with an unsound mind till he regains his sanity

226- Whoever is killed in defense of his wealth is a martyr. Whoever is killed in defense of his family, himself, or his religion is a martyr

227- Strive against the polytheists with your properties, souls, and tongues

228- ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: I asked for the permission of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) to make Jihad, so he said: Your Jihad is pilgrimage

229- I will certainly expel the Jews and the Christians from the Arabian Peninsula until only Muslims are left in it

230- Islam is to prevail and is not to be prevailed over

231- Indeed, power is in shooting. Indeed, power is in shooting. Indeed, power is in shooting

232- Actions are of six types and people are of four: two imperatives, one and its equal reward, one good deed with ten times as much reward, and one good deed with a seven-hundred-fold reward

233- If Allah decreed that someone should die in a certain land, He makes for him a reason to go there

234- I am Dimām ibn Tha‘labah, from the brothers of Banu Sa‘d ibn Bakr

235- The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ablution upon every prayer
