Virtues and Manners
1- Shall I inform you of the gravest of the major sins?
2- When a man loves his brother, he should tell him that he loves him
5- “Avoid the seven destructive sins
8- certainly admit him into Paradise, regardless of the deeds which he has done
12- Paradise is nearer to one of you than his shoelaces, and so is Hellfire
15- Hellfire is surrounded by lusts, and Paradise is surrounded by adversities
21- Verily, the lawful is clear, and the unlawful is clear
22- Verily, Allah has enjoined kindness in all things
23- Indeed, Allah does not look at your appearance and wealth, but He looks at your hearts and deeds.”
25- Do not get angry
27- A servant committed a sin and said: 'O Allah, forgive my sin
31- Some people dispose of Allah's property wrongfully. For them will be Hellfire on the Day of Judgment
32- Beware of false thought, for false thought is the most untruth speech
34- Every act of goodness is charity
35- Do not belittle any good deed, even if it be meeting your brother with a cheerful face
37- Whoever guides to a good deed will get the same reward as the doer of that deed
38- Do not curse the dead, for they have reached the result of what they have done
40- The one who severs the ties of kinship will not enter Paradise
41- A scandalmonger will not enter Paradise
43- The nearest a slave to his Lord is while he is prostrating, so increase supplication
44- Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should say what is good or keep silent
45- Whoever does not show mercy to people, Allah Almighty does not show mercy to him
46- The most hated person in the sight of Allah is the most quarrelsome person
51- Adhere to truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise
52- There are two words that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and dear to the Most Merciful
53- Nothing is more honorable in the sight of Allah Almighty than supplication
57- When Allah intends good for someone, He grants him the understanding of the religion
58- Verily, Allah loves the servant who is pious, free of wants, and inconspicuous
59- The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would not refuse a gift of perfume
63- Verily, a believer can attain, by his good manners, the rank of one who fasts and prays often
64- Verily, the best of you are those who have the best manners
65- Verily, Allah gives respite to the oppressor, but when He seizes him, He does not release him
66- I am not leaving behind a more harmful trial for men than women
71- Whoever recites the last two verses of Sūrat al-Baqarah at a night, they will suffice him
76- We were with ‘Umar, and he said: "We were forbidden from the affectation
78- O boy, mention Allah's name, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is nearer to you
84- Indeed, Allah will distinguish a man from my Ummah before all of creation on the Day of Judgment
85- When Allah created Paradise and Hellfire, He sent Jibrīl (Gabriel) (peace be upon him)
87- When the Muezzin (the caller to prayer) says, 'Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar
89- O ‘Abbās, O uncle of the Messenger of Allah, ask Allah for safety in this life and the Hereafter
94- Leave them, for I had put them on when they were in the state of purity
150- All of my Ummah may be forgiven except those who commit sin openly
151- No slave covers another slave in this world except that Allah would cover him on the Day of Judgment
215- The strong believer is better and dearer to Allah than the weak believer, and there is good in both
218- The best way of seeking Allah's forgiveness
219- Woe to him who speaks and tells lies so as to make people laugh thereby. Woe to him! Woe to him!
231- There are three supplications that will undoubtedly be answered: the supplication of the oppressed
248- Allah does not listen as attentively to anything as He listens to a prophet with a melodious voice
265- A place in Paradise as small as a bow is better than all that upon which the sun rises and sets
278- Do not call a hypocrite a master, for if he is a master, you will have angered your Almighty Lord
302- Death will be brought forward in the shape of a black and white ram
303- Your fire is a one-seventieth part of Hellfire
304- Whoever tells a lie about me intentionally, let him take his seat in Hellfire
306- Do not seek knowledge in order to show off in front of the scholars, or to argue with the foolish;
307- Allah has given a parable: a straight path
317- Say 'there is no god but Allah', and I will testify for you by it on the Day of Judgment
318- {Then, on that Day, you will definitely be questioned about your worldly pleasures.}
319- When you hear the Muezzin, say what he says and then invoke Allah's blessings upon me
322- Allah does not accept any deed except what is done purely for Him and in pursuit of His Countenance
355- I am a messenger from Allah to you to tell you that Allah loves you as you love him for His sake
379- Take no companion except a believer and let no one eat your food except an Allah-fearing person
387- Intercede and you will be rewarded, and Allah will decide what He loves on the tongue of His Prophet
432- Encouraging towards the eternal bliss of Paradise and warning of the severe torment of Hellfire
468- that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited blowing in one's drink
492- Will you not listen? Will you not listen? Simplicity is part of faith, simplicity is part of faith
506- While a man was walking, dressed in fine clothes and admiring himself, with his hair well-combed
525- The superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like my superiority over the lowest among you
531- When we ascended (a high land), we used to say Takbīr, and when we descended, we used to say Tasbīh
535- Whoever follows a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allah will facilitate for him a path to Paradise
538- Abu Sālih used to order us that if anyone of us wanted to sleep, he should lie on his right side
584- Recite the Qur'an, because it will come as an intercessor on the Day of Judgment for its reciters
599- Blessing descends in the middle of the food. So eat from the sides, and do not eat from the middle
620- If a slave serves his master sincerely and worships Allah properly, he will have a double reward
673- Read the Qur’an, as it will come as an intercessor for its companions on the Day of Resurrection
